This is great! Thanks a lot for making this.
Also, is someone interested in making a tutorial about importing custom mesh? This could come in handy.

bastien Hello. Nice tool. Is the scene structure compatible with FBX import/export? As example, to export it to Maya, work there, import back to Blender and then export as *.arc.

I just tried and it seems that no, it doesn't work, because of how Custom Properties are exported (there's also a blender bug for the fbx exporter) For now my focus is to make the import/export flawless for Blender, but if anyone else wants to do an importer/Exporter for Maya, it should be possible to do so reusing 80% of the code, since Maya also uses python as the scripting language like Blender, and the addon code is not tightly coupled with Blender.

Thank you for the answer. Hope you will be able to finish this script and maybe someone will port it to Maya. =)

Amazing! I'll use this for sure BTW, this doesn't work with blender 2.49 does it? I know its a long shot but it is worth asking. I'm more used to that version lol

No, only 2.7x and up (maybe 2.6x but it's not tested)
Well, that's something I've noticed in the modding scene: since a lot of scripts for importing/exporting games work only for 2.49 and below and nobody ported them, they are stuck with all 2.49. You are missing a lot of features, Blender improved dramatically from 2.49 to 2.5 and above. If there's any script you want to get ported, I can look into it, btw.

This is really amazing man. I couldn't do any mods with 3DS Max For RE5. because crashes and bugs and etc. but with blender. it makes more easyer to mod it. Blender=can do almost anything what you want. import video, import audio, import image, import 3D Objects, Create A Game. Almost Everything. Blender Is Best And It Never Makes Problems. P.S can you do a modeling tutorial about replacing new things to re5. like character or weapon. would be great. and by the way. thanks so much for sharing this awesome work to everyone. good job man

Ooh no it's ok, thanks I used 2.7 too a bit, but my problem is that the interface is completely different and it is hard to find the stuff I need. One or two useful features have also been removed from later versions. But it is no problem, I can use it with no problem ^^
