I like a lot of Capcoms special costumes, so i am totally fine how they handle it.
Sure some of the extra costumes are strange, weird, ridiculous, or just plain, but in general i like them.

regarding the faces, i find women more attractive when they look naturally, so in your case it is too much makeup in my opinion.

There are alot extra costume i like, for example Helnas RPD outfit. The tie is annoying and the ex 2 colours green and blue are ugly as hell together, but it suits her character and has a bit fanservice, so it is a good bonus costume for me. 
Same goes for sherrys Ex 1 and 2 outfits, it suits her, is a nice reference and is sexy, so why not, i like it.  

Resi 5 has a lot of nice outfits too, i like all of Shevas or Jills. And even i don`t like or care about Chris ones, im fine with them, because there are a lot of fans who like those Sailor and Apokalypse outfits.  
jill has alot of beautiful outfits too, my favorite is her Army outfit from RE Remake and her Bsaa, Re3 or Pirate Outfits are nice too.


Claires rev 2 Cowgirl Outfit is okay, i don`t like it that much,( stupid Terra safe bracelet, and simple overall design) but okay.


Regarding the faces, i like Claire's face in rev 2, but i totally hate it when developers change faces of characters. It absolutely destroys the atmosphere and canon.
So despite i like her face, i hate that they have changed it. But claire never has a unique face, so i am more upset with the change of Jill's face in rev 1.


I would like it if future Resident Evil games would have more special Outfits, at least two per charackter. One thematic kinda fanservice outfit, like the ones from RE 6 and one wearing clothes the chara would really wear, like the Office outfit for Sheva, jills army outfit, Adas Assignment one or Weskers Stars outfit.



In the end it is all about opinions, you can`t make outfits that everyone like. And the RE 6 ones for example are made for a japanese audience, almost everything about those Outfits are marked with japanese culture.

 

I'd like to start of by saying I respect your opnions, and that I'm not trying to flame here.

Faces:
One of the main reasons faces and stuff is changed to actually within that canon show that time has progressed and that the characters have grown and aged. there's no way that in rev2 claire could have had the same face, because she is like 34-39 (something like that) y/o in that game whereas the last time we saw her was re2/cv time and she was 19-20 y/o.

outfits:
while the bonus outfits never really bothered me personally, given that as a modder/member of a modding forums there's enough talented people here to mod over the costumes/characters I don't like. How those costumes usually come to be is from an inside joke within the company, something that someone jokingly said during a meeting, or a concept artist/designer came up with a silly costume for fun.

the one this that does kinda bother me about your satement is "maybe we can save the franchise of a disaster" because thaat line to me doesn't make much sense. especially because you mention it over by the costumes. why would the costumes ruin this franchise, and besides it really is not as if this forums has any real influence on what capcom is going to do with the games anyway...

the problem with RE currently is is that they now have 2 (technically 3) groups in the fanbase:
- those who love the classics and hate the newer ones
- those who love the newer ones and hate the classics
- those who love new and old (as you may have guessed i'm in this category, if not.. now you know...)

and what capcom decided was to continue with the modern trend because it sells, and that is what in the end it comes down to. they're a company that needs to sell in order to keep making games. That they "can't be trusted without mikami" in my opinion is a bit far going. I have faith in the teams capcom has working n the franchise as I assume they're all very talented game developers.
and if in the end it turns out they "messed up" with RE2Remake, I bet that within a day people will be whining about it and 2 weeks after people will have modded in "the right face", even though such a thing doesn't even exist. The right face is the face Capcom gives them, because they're in the end still the people in charge of this franchise. and if they "messed up" the game.. well... tell people on forums to cry for another 15 years hoping for a "new remake"

wow.. this ended being more of a rant than I thought it'd be... again I'm not trying to attack, or flame here. I'm just of a different opinion than yours and I do respect your opinion, even when mine is not the same as yours.

and compare it with mp1 and mp2

So which one is more popular mp1-mp2 or mp3(it's just ok for musics!   )

The campaigns
and misunderstanding about origins

living loving playing gaming with our favorite character
in a logical and believable way and with a good directing 

so if my loved one is just in the half of the game, the game is half for me
(for my favorite leon, unfortunately Even less than half of game!) 

personally: 
i love re6 leon, he is handsome and perfect but the game....
i love claire coat and sniper costume those are very good
but look at the claire classic, it's like a horse riding!
or rodeo, with those awful hair 
or moira ninja

it doesn't make any sense

ok it's for fun, but i didn't laugh or even a little tiny smile 
(but look at the ashley fun costume, it had influence in gameplay 
and make the game fun and valuable) 

maybe we can fix this kind of mistakes with our modes

i love weapons customization like this new on-line re
 but just in merchant way
campaigns is good but with a characters selecting option
(and not just 2 character Chosen by director) 

i have a lot of idea and story and...
(and i have A million-dollar idea and story too!! 
but they should respect our wishes for using that! )

co-play is good as an option
and if we don't like it, just one character by our choose

non stop inventory like re5 is good but just as an option

action and a fps camera like cod is good too but just as an option
(it's make game more popular and accordingly more sale)

different outfits are very good Specially if has influence in gameplay 
(like bigger inventory or more protect or low part and instead faster run...) 


and at last my favorite claire edited and in some parts made by myself:

(personally opinion: my claire has better face!!   ) 

i wanted to made a claire mod (looks highpoly) for re4-uhd so i had to keep it very low poly 
(i cant remember but i think it became 6000 or 7000 vertices)
so cause of that purpose i had to ignore quality and... 
 but... as you already know why! (re4-uhd engine limitations)
at last i satisfied with my old lovely re4! 

The Difference between games Like fallout . saints row etc And The Revelations series is Budget.

Revelations 1 and 2 Have always had MUCH smaller Budgets when Compared to other games. But they are also much cheaper then other games when first released.
