Honestly, this trailer had me disappointed. It reminded me a lot of that piece of s*** that is "7". And, honestly, that girl is not Claire. It's Moira Burton with long hair. Also, get ready for a very cheesy game, it seems.
I hope i'm wrong, but i don't think i am.

I enjoyed a lot of what I saw. I never was a real OTS fan. I was fine with it in Re4 but then after that it was shoved into every game after that, everywhere. I HEAR there is a fixed camera option of some sort for this game and if not I hope awesome modders will make that happen. I saw some clips from the trailer that suggest fixed camera is an option and it looks GREAT that way. Over the shoulder is just starring at someones head the entire time while you try to see the environments. OTS is stale and its time for cinematic gaming to come back. So I hope to see more of that.

Don't like the redesigns to the environments (RPD hall). It would have been fine the way it was.
Leon's outfit was fine, not sure about the face. Claire's is the worst ! They completely changed her outfit. That jacket was her signature look.
I don't care about it being an unlockable outfit, it should be the default. Her face looks weird too. I'm assuming the silhouette in a trench coat & heels was Ada (still looking like a spy).
Obviously can't comment gamepley wise but i have a feeling there's going to be so many forced scripted events like RE6.
Obviously not here for OTS but we knew it was coming. It's bugs me because all these post RE4 players were not the ones begging for this Remake.
It was us classic fans who loved what they did with the first remake and wanted 2 to get that same treatment.
This is basically Resident Evil 2 Re-imagined not Resident Evil 2 Remake.
Anyway the zombies were the best looking thing in the trailer. Hopefully this means they'll make a return to the series.

RE2 remake got the hype it did from fans since 2001 when RE1 remake was announced. And through the 2000s we carried that hype, I personally left that hype train after darkside chronicles because I never thought it would happen. I personally like the youthful look of Leon and Claire although the first sight of Leon was jarring but I saw the 2nd trailer and was pleased with his look and modern look of his uniform. But yeah Claires outfit, she looks so modernize. It's really different. I wish we had both. Wish we had a faithful remake 10 years ago and also what we see now. And I do think this is more reimagining than a remake. If you do OTS and change gameplay drastically and atmosphere, etc. it stops being a remake its more reimagining.

I'd say face wise Leon is not all that different as say Chris was in RE7, in fact it looks like a perfect update to Leon's ingame model in RE2, As you can see its easy to tell Leon is well...Leon lol, Claire on the other hand is not as faithful adaption wise but she still looks like Claire to me. Regarding the trailer, I LOVED it! As I've said on the forums before I would have been fine with either over the shoulder or fixed camera to be honest so I'm perfectly fine with this gameplay, although I'm definitely more in the "classic" section of the fanbase who prefers the older entries to the new ones I have to admit that ever since I played RE4 I've been curious what it would be like to have played RE1,RE2, or RE3 with a over the shoulder perspective, its something I've always wondered about even though I never had any issue with the fixed camera angles since I loved how it added to the horror. But the allure of possibly being able to get a more up close and personal look at the villains as well as melee them like in RE4 sounded cool, I still recall hearing about how Umbrella Chronicles was originally meant to have the gameplay of RE4 during its BETA but Capcom opted to change it to on the rails to appeal to the "casual" fans and I was so freaken bumed about it and felt it was such a missed opportunity to be able to traverse the classic events with a new camera perspective from RE4. So yea I'm excited for this no question, I doubt the OTS will hinder any of the horror judging by the trailers and as the Revelations games have shown us Capcom seems capable of getting better and better having that gameplay mesh well with survival horror.

It matters to discuss things to always make the series better  The discussions on remakes and gaming is important to the future of game development.

I was not very excited for RE2 remake, (I'm more eager for real sequels and new stories). And after watch these trailers... I am more hyped for Kingdom Hearts 3. What great KH but as RE fan, I may be getting old for this.
Is not just the Claire thing, but the dark gore tone and the "re-imaginated concept", some fans talked me about that before, but I though it was not going to be a big deal for me, I find myself wrong. I have been wondering if I want to replace my memories and knowledge of RE story with this new rebooted version. What I find very unconfortable thoughts. @_@ Maybe its time to leave the series for the next generation of players.
There are many months yet till the game release, hopefully there are more videos and data that I hope can get me more confortable with the game. (Tokyo Game Show surelly).
I don't see RE2 remake as bad (fortunatelly it doesn't give me the bad vibes that I got from RE7 thing, what a good bullet I dodged then XD) But I see all this RE2 impression... "weird" for me.

Leon looks fine. But they need to fix Claire's face and clothes.
Looks like gore is deep on this one just like the old games.
Hopefully the game runs at 60 fps during gameplay and cutscenes like re7.

Also I'm not sold on her outfit, but we can't see the whole thing. I just don't like the sleeves. I prefer the sleeveless jacket. her back better say "Let me Live" though, regardless.

ToCool74 I completely agree about Leons face. People gotta remember this is super young rookie Leon, he is going to look alot different than he did in Re4/Re6. Personally I think he looks perfect and resembles his original Re2 model the best they could do it. As for the trailer,I am super pumped as like everyone else. I'm stoked they decided to go with over the shoulder camera, I would have been so dissapointed if they made this first person like Re7. It will be interesting to see if they have any extra game modes that could possibly be online, that'd be sweet

not sure how to feel about this, capcom changed completely Claire, they made her look waaay younger and they added some small editions to her outfit, like a new re-worked jacket, shirt and added collar, also the turtle neck shirt from the classic claire turned into a tank-type one, i guess im feeling like with revelations Claire when she was first showed off, she looks cute as hell though haha, i liked her facial model, a bit strange since is the first time we see this variation of Claire, but it's cute enough for me at least, i need to see how they re-worked her personallity. Most likely the same reason Leon looks so young, because back then at the time they were young, Claire was 18/19 years old? so they probably adjusted her looks for it Same with Leon
