I think the same as Mr curious. the game dynamics of resident evil 4 was not created to be multiplayer, nor cooperative.
How could they adapt the AEV events with each player? How would you order each camera point for each player? likewise the events like the Rock that is controlled by the EMI file. only for the main player (LEON).
it would be necessary to redo many programs from scratch of the same Game.
They would get very complicated trying to make Resident Evil 4 Multiplayer or cooperative.
in this case it is better to launch a remake by fans of the same Re4 but this time from zero and multiplayer, to avoid taking risks of Bugs.
Eye: I'm not saying it's impossible (NOTHING IS). I just like modder as well as mr curious that we know some of the limitations almost impossible to edit in Re4, which will NOT be easy.

Even though these questions are fair, understandable, and will require answer eventually, I STILL would like to personally just see how far they can get before people start throwing questions like these. I felt odd about them then, and I feel odd about them now. Just let them see how far they get first before proposing questions that they haven't needed answers to yet. I understand it's nice to think ahead of time, but there's stages to mods like these. Milestones. One step at a time, you know?
So ultimately, even if these are necessary questions, only answer them when necessary and when we get there. The main parts are required first anyhow, like the networking and syncing.
I dunno, if I were going to be ambitious enough to retrofit a game I would take the time to speak to the pros who know whats under the hood before I put months of work in. There are some serious limitations that havent even been addressed.. I only pointed these out these limitations to help the devs understand that they are trying to do something that will eventually fall apart unless you can rewrite the code of the game. I think the way to go is what fxxxsociety is doing by using a new engine. His project has much more potential to actually work. This is the same shit Infernal went through (and what Im going through now).. You put in months and months (over a year for us both) into learning all the ins & outs of this game and realize you have spent a year learning a 10 year old engine. Infernal was ambitious enough to just start over from scratch and rebuild it all in UE4. In the end he will have a skillset that he can actually use to work in the industry or create a new project, whereas I am stuck with being a pro at modding a 10 year old game with a severely restricted game code. Had I known how much trouble and restrictions that were present I might have done what Infernal is doing now and started learning UE4. At least I learned how to 3d model XD! Now I do not say any of this to discourage ambitious modders! I wish everyone on this forum success in all their affairs, and I will lend myself to anyone that needs me. Happy MOdding!

Hey guys, released an update, link updated in main post. Update includes less jitter and more stabilization with movement (wont get caught as much), as well as much more stable death sync, continuing should not crash the game anymore. more to come, but like what a lot of people are saying, this will be limited. It is just a fun project for me and trying to manipulate an engine only through memory changes is no small feat. So I would not expect much more than this and some more stabilization changes. But hey mercenaries accidentally works so thats cool. Also came across some people using it

обьясню как написать такую муть: пишем клиента и сервер на сокетах, сервер запускаем на машине с игрой - куда с клиента приходят координаты Ashley, сервер пишет в процесс игры по адресу координаты Ashley, вот и весь "Resident Evil 4 Co/Operative Mod"
..ну через интернет геморр конечно получиться(так как придется и клиенту писать в процесс игры на машине клиента писать координаты Leon) в идеале изначально клиент - это и есть игра куда сервер и раздает координаты в мультиплейере

я обяснил как через сеть, а здесь тупо нет сервера просто делаешь: трейнер который пишет в процесс по координатам Ashley (думал сделали кооператив по сети, ан нет)(если чесно не скачивал по этому не знаю..пардонте)

It would be amazing if this ever got to the stage where we could play asymmetrical co-op with Leon and Ada, where one player plays Leon's campaign, and another player, Ada's -- only meeting up if in the same part of the game (e.g., when the story has them cross paths, like in "The Village").
