0.1.1 Beta Release
Game version: Steam Ultimate Edition 1.0.6
Hey guys, this is an early release for my RE4 multiplayer mod! Please note this is very rough, and you should expect crashes, bugs, desync, especially with bosses. There are no animation sync either, this is simply to connect, see other players position, and be able to kill most enemies in sync. prerequisites
Ensure you can run Raz0r's trainer located here (I had to upload due to original post being gone): drive.google.com/open?id=1R-buAzg9RJCIq-PVkGk-nh4hykxAkH47 (because it runs the same game version, and the trainer will help you get out of issues) ensure you replace the bio4 exe in your steam download location with the one I uploaded to this link.
Set the trainer to enable the settings pointed out by the red arrows, T to disable collision also useful
You will need Hamachi: www.vpn.net/ , follow instructions to install and start a network. This is used to simplify the connection process.
Your firewall may need to be off if you cannot connect
You will need a save slot at least at the first typewriter, before that will not work.
How to Start or Connect to a server
Both players must start their game at the same point in the story, with Razor's trainer running with the given settings, keep the game running
Both players must be connected to a Hamachi network
Download the mod password is remodding: drive.google.com/open?id=1R-buAzg9RJCIq-PVkGk-nh4hykxAkH47
Start the RE4MP executable as admin
server must type "server" then enter the port you want to host it under
client must enter client, then input the ip v4 address from right clicking your friend in hamachi, then enter the port
if you have trouble connecting, disable firewall or antivirus if you are comfortable with that
If you have issues with your friend being stuck, or having trouble with events, make use of Razor's trainer "Move Ashley B" and "Press T to disable collision" so you can bypass these issues. Do note that if Ashley is not set to "follow", she may get stuck more often on things like ladders.
Please leave a comment if the instructions are unclear, and I will update the post.
THERE WILL BE CRASHES, you can minimize crashes by not using Razor's trainer, but then you lose the benefit of teleporting your partner to you to resync. If things seem too broken, reset the re4mp executable and reconnect
