Edit: got it working. You have to delete the 07000000 and 07000000.ifs before installing , seems a normal overwrite doesn't work.
Thanks , The Game looks so much better, I hate these forced bad video effects.

Not sure if correct. But I think it doesn't work on normal override because they need to refer correctly to each other when both in the same folder. Either not having both files or having them 'line' up makes the difference in the game's stability. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't know but its these little things that catch you out and can be easily overlooked. I can imagine people having trouble and not knowing why. Film grain should be an option in the video settings IMO and not forced so it is very nice to get this mod working.

you have to edit the EFF File for each room the film grain is used in.
What do you mean you have a custom file?

Wish you'd do that to RE0 HD it'd look great. Plus install easily. Its definitely a god send for RE4 the game deserves to be crystal clear not blurry as the original released copies.

Oh. I know that one. It's great but it uses a file like the one I'm using to lower the internal res (a D3D9.DLL file) to just run the game decently (shit Intel graphics card). And I haven't figured out a way to work them both in together. I've been hoping for one that works similar to yours. No luck though.

If you are like me and have headaches because the film grain effect, then this mod is for you: www.mediafire.com/?3o4n42bo2i75qz4Bear in mind that this file contains ONLY the edited texture to disable that effect, the rest of the textures remains untouched, that means that you need to further mod it to have bump maps enabled, or the PS buttons mod. Since I don't have permission of the authors of those mods I cant include them... If you want to manually edit your already modded file you need to alpha the 0193.dds texture inside the 07000000 file If you just want to test it, the installation is simple enough, delete/rename 07000000.pack.lfs and decompress the rar inside ImagePack or ImagePackHD, depending if you are using SD or HD textures and remember to backup your file beforehand... UPDATE: New file Beta Patch 1.0.5 compatible: www.mediafire.com/download/hoe40cbkba5rpkz/Fil_Grain_Removed__Patch_1.0.5.rarThe mod clearly doesn't work wit the latest Steam version (1.1.0). I hope that marcelo20xx can clarify.

According to the trainer's description only the DLL version ("discontinued as of 01/05/2019") supports 1.1.0. I extracted the folders to "\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Resident Evil 4" and while the branding is added to the game menus, the trainer itself reports that the game isn't running.

yup, you need 1.0.6. Unless you need Chinese language support there is no reason to run 1.1.0
