{Custom Spoiler} We’re the spiders THAT important though? There was like 6 in the entire game, who you could just easily run past.

Dogs, zombies and lickers have all been super buffed. G-adults are now regular enemies. Mr X is a constant threat. In terms of "regular enemies", this game is barely any different from the original. EDIT: Also remember that more has been added to the game than was taken away. The game isn't gonna suffer because it's missing a small amount of enemies and the bowgun, chill the fuck out. But what about spiders? They were important. Why remove them? they were not that important really they were just in one area and thats it XD

a remake is an opportunity to utilize enemies MORE not less. i was really looking forward to spiders in the new engine. also... {Custom Spoiler} from what i heard spiders, moths, evolved lickers, and crows are not in the remake. it would be different if they actually replaced them with new enemies, i guess. and not like i have fond memories of the moth other than outbreak which was really cool how they used the moth in outbreak, but again a remake is an opportunity to make it into a legit boss. the spider is the one that upsets me because it is a classic enemy that was in all the classic games

Look, I've seen this song and dance go down for the past couple of days now; it's always the same defense. "They weren't that important/barely appeared." The same could be said about the sharks from REmake. They sucked in the original, yet were still included and made more threatening with their own puzzle boss sequence. The standard of remakes in Resi has been established. Any walking back is gonna be inherently disappointing. I don't care how much RE2make "makes up for it" with other content elsewhere, that's a part of RE2's blood that's being thrown in the garbage with 0 regard for even trying to improve it. And for what? Because the director thinks he knows better, if the constant "realism" and "reimagining" excuses they keep saying are anything to go by. Especially because the alligator and Ivy were almost cut, and it took a year of the Producer fighting him over it to keep em in.
Even then I find the notion that RE2make "makes up for" cutting these enemies suspect, since they're apparently not capable of creating an Ivy that has its own completely unique AI, and needs to recycle the zombies' AI and animations, which also then means they have to redesign them. All this really doesn't paint a good picture for why they didn't even bother to expand on the crows, moth, spiders, super Lickers, (and zombie Brad), and just cut them. It reeks of either laziness, incompetence, or contempt for the original, or some combination.
So can we please not start trotting out the same excuses for them I've seen on Resetera and Gamefaqs? Let's not make PR statements for them, not accept less in our games, and not accept a disregard for staying faithful or trying to improve on the original.

Man I'd be disappointed if Zombie Brad isn't in this game.
And yeah you are right. Those excuses don't make sense. It might still be a good game but no way it's gonna be up to the standards of original REmake. Heck even RE DSC had most of the creatures.

This is a Pre-Paid PSN wallet top off card with special RE2 design. limited edition. if you buy one of these you get the classic low poly leon & claire costumes right away. but they become available in March for everyone. dunno if they will be outside of JPN spoiler for new special costumes for JPN, unknown if these will come to US/EU

Don't you think you're a bit overeacting here, lads? I mean some leaks are obviously accurate, but we cannot be certain all of them are true. I'll continue the rest of my post in this spoiler tag. Some people may not want to know anything about those leaks, let's respect them. Remember that according to DuskGolem, Capcom is already working on RE3 Remake hence why Zombie Brad may have been scrapped. They must have done this for a reason. Regarding Plants 43 design, I agree they look too different from the original but can't you wait to see them in motion before saying it's a stupid and lazy? Regarding the possibility of some enemies being scrapped, I'm bummed as much as you are... But that doesn't mean the game is crap!
Anyway, to each their own. It's just too bad some people keep focusing on what's not there anymore or what's different instead of what this game does good and better than the original (which was not perfect). As far as I'm concerned I'm super excited to discover the game on Friday!
