Post RE7 spoilers in here...

Capcom mentioned their reasoning behind it.
Multiple times already and that doesn't seem to be enough?

They decided to use photo-realistic bases for the people, the older games were based off OF people yes, but RE7 is LITERALLY using real peoples faces, with minor alters to fit what the game does to them etc

If they used the actors you guys wanted, Chris would still look incredibly different, and realize we didnt really get a good look at his muscles per-say, he could still be the roided Chris we all know and love, things change, people lose weight, its a change we have to get used to really.

They did it with Jill and eventually people got used to it, just imagine if they rendered any other RE character into RE7 photorealistic face-capture is MUCH different from rendered faces BASED off of real people it would 'butcher' anyones look really, because of the facial features/structure it can catch rather than digitally creating it themselves.

Im just more curious about why Chris is in an Umbrella copter or with Umbrella now, his looks shouldn't be what really cause you to flip, it should be the fact he for some reason is with Umbrella now lol


The not a hero name like I said really has me thinking about that quote I said

Either die a hero or live long enough to become the villian

I'd worry more about story rather than someones face, (which note we wont see much of since first person or cut-scenes which im assuming we should see)

as a chris that model is very good actually but as the chris , personally i think they made a big mistake

honestly i'm not chris' fan but i can't accept it because almost half of fans love him and they are used to it (the old model i mean)

so if capcom is that much lazy to find someone similar which it wasn't very hard to do so in my opinion using an imaginary modeling was very better than being excited about a new tech without thinking or regarding to fans' opinions

actually re6's modeling team were awesome and have made an amazing work 
almost all of models in that game were perfect (my personal opinion)
(albeit except re4 yeah me neither about playing other versions)

by the way as leon's fan personally i rather to see RE:DSC's cgi models in re2 remake (good for the team too , less work)
instead of using even a billion camera for an ultra perfect scan but using an absolutely different person

and also one thing about camera 
 
yes you are right and there is no problem

the main problem is their method of going forward and going to the next level of upgrade for a game

in my opinion going forward doesn't means destroying the bridges behind 

if they make the game based on a tps camera they can easily add the classic or even a fps and everyone have their choices

and also good for capcom to have the all type of fans and selling more copy

they should learn a lot of game making lessons from other companies 
but they are just thinking about the being number one but without thinking that what exactly it means

i mean even just a simple score as a new RE and as a new game

The molds made Chris ugly aswell.

You guys insulting is not going to change anything in what Capcom does.

Buying RE7 is not compulsory, and it being so disconnected and with that different Chris, it makes me feel it as a kind of paralel universe, like the Alice movies. (I would say it's a reboot, but Kawata swears and repeats that is not a reboot...), Anyway.

The new Chris appearance doesn't grow on me. Perhaps when he were on the game, talking and showing his character traits, he could become a Redfield representation in my eyes. However, I haven't got faith anymore. If the main game is such short and small, how could I expect any deep experience from the free DLC?.

RE Vendetta looks that it will be 1 hour and half of predictable story, something entertaining but not to compete with the top rank of theaters movies, even yet, I find it more promising and with more impact than what the Not a Hero DLC looks.

For those who thinking why Chris looks different, this is the reason.


You see? Leon never survived. So Chris and Leon interacting with each other was nothing but an imagination of dying Leon.  So Chris never looked like what he looks in RE5/6/ Vendetta.

RE1 is the only Canon story.


This is the real Chris face.   The one we see in REmake and RE5/6/ Vendetta aren't real by any means.

And RE7 Chris looks like RE1 real Chris Face.


So it's confirmed, Chris of RE7 is the one that's always been real. And it also proves that Chris don't hate Umbrella much as we thought.

Because Chris of RE5/6 don't exist.
