The theme on the RE wikia gives me cancer so I try to avoid it.

ADA should get an entire game for herself Yeah her campaign in RE6 only scratched the surface of a potential good spin off. Heck even Wesker could've had his own spin off title. But wait they're too much like Catwoman and Lex Luthor = Capcom Logic.  So any date confirmation on the PC demo?

The horror The camera Angles The returning characters The location The backstory The enemies Might I ask you to elaborate more on that, because I don't think I understand you. As far as far as I'm concerned: The horror was gone (and long forgotten) by the time RE5 released. Would argue that it was never there, but, eh, whatever. Camera angles are absent since RE4 and there's no sign of return. As for the characters it's gonna be tricky. I wonder if people would moan so much if Elsa was actually a protagonist of RE2 so there wouldn't be any connections between the new cast and the old. Additionaly since every more recent RE was coop they've been shoving new characters into peoples faces all the time and I don't recall any criticisms towards that. Actually if it weren't for Adas involvement Loen could easily be written off from his campaign in RE6 due to it's story revolving around Helena, but since there also had to be the shodown between him and Chris so at least he's not as useless in the other campaigns. Given that this game will finally be singleplayer again it's not at all that surprising that there's going to be another new protagonist- they were introducing them for years now. The location: err, Raccoon City? Gone in RE3, don't know what you mean by this. As for the backstory, hmm, Umbrella's gone (before the events of RE4 if I remember correctly) and so is Wesker so every loose end from RE1 to 5 is more or less tied up. With the enemies, well, we don't even know what kind of enemies there will be in RE7 so I don't know what issue do you have there with- if previous games are any indication it'll probably be some monsters either created by a virus or parasite. As for the horror I was on about the first couple of games and for the new characters like jake agent sheva Ashley and Helena and moira maybe it's a build up to a major character death which capcom has not done yet

They already killed off Wesker, so there's that too. I mean Wesker is/was the main villian and they went full 360 retard with his character in RE5 so I hope Capcom doesn't bother killing main characters because they seem so keen at killing off the side characters of the main characters anyway. Steve, Louis, Piers. They can't write a good enough story to make a main character in the series die justifiably enough and I believe Wesker is proof of that. But I digress.

I get what you mean, although I think Chris is hunkier than Hunk!  Also @commambershep, I suppose it's like Boba Fett in Star Wars, as he didn't do a whole alot in the main series either. Just a guy in cool looking armor or whatever.

"This is just a teaser,it is very different than the actual game".
I mean,can they just at least bring back old characters? Why did they made the teaser very different to the actual game?

You're forgetting how story works, its not all just about the same people over & over again, note how RE2 brought leon & claire and nobody else, if they kept the same people they get boring RE needs more new people, getting really tired of the ones we've been getting, way too repetitive atm

(atleast one or more returning characters appeared on every series starting from RE1 (in chronological order)). So, let's hope they will stick to the idea instead of making all new characters. This will mean that it won't be connected to resident evil and should have other title.

I wanted new characters to take the lead as well, however I did not want the established main cast to take a complete backseat and be left out of RE7 completely, for instance they did not have to bring back Leon,Chris,Claire,Barry etc for this game since they had their time to shine in the recent games and we know what they are up to, but having characters like Billy,Carlos,Rebecca, or Ark Thompson come back in a SUPPORTING role and still have someone new as the main protagonist would have been a great idea since fans have been wondering what those characters have been up to since their last appearance.

It's worth noting that even though RE2 had no returning characters make a PHYSICAL appearance, they were still referenced.
Claire was searching for Chris, the S.T.A.R.S office is a thing, the mansion incident, so Petrichor's defense falls flat immediately.
RE7 looks almost ENTIRELY unconnected, and I'm not buying the "just wait and see" bullshit, that's the bait companies use to get sales for bad products.
