Hi guys,this is my first time on this new website and i have to say: i love the old one better.
For a long time playing RE4 with alots of hi-def mod,i alway get crash or freeze everytime i play.That's the reason i don't play it much recently.
I know a lot if people got same problem as me but haven't found a way to fix this yet.
But by a miracle i have found a way to fix this crashing issue completely, i put lots of hidef mod in the game and playing it non crashing so far.
So if anyone have same problem and want to fix this crashing shit,just post it here an i will tell you how.

Maybe because Of High Polygons Or Model's
It Depends On Processor Or VideoCard You Use!

My specs is:I5 4670,8G ram,GTX 670 and the game constantly crash everytime i play it. I do some research and found out that the old game.exe file can't handle hires texture,it cause memory leak make game crash or freeze. The only way to fix this problem is to use this: www.ntcore.com/4gb_patch.phpI discocered this miraculous patch when using it to fix may Fallout Newvegas.These 2 games have nearly indentical memory leak issue,so i think:"Why not try this on RE4". Since apply this patch to RE4,i have play it non crashing so far.My RE4 have so many hires texture:Environment,Weapons,Character...,but with this patch it work flawlessly. Just thinks that may be someone will find this useful.

Maybe But Im Not Sure!!
.exe File Did Not handle a hi-res model
cause im not using a hires model

Thats what i'm worry about.Many good modder from before have quit modding for RE4.
I'm afraid when Re4 HD be realsed,we won't have many great mod like before.

solowing, I told you about this patch a few days before you posted this thread. Only difference is I linked you to the already patched exe file here. You ignored my advice just to use the same patch anyway. :facepalm: Oh, and just so it does screw up some peoples games... This patch requires that you are running a 64bit Windows. Do not use it if running 32 bit Windows.

supersentinelJust download the file I uploaded in my last post and replace the games exe with it. But be warned: You must be running a 64bit Windows.

That memory problem (which causes crash) you are talking about, does it happen only when you are using the Texmod program? or does it also happen when not using Texmod? other question: i am trying to get HD HUD and Menu (i am already using patch 1.1, enhanced environment 1.5/2.0, Albert texture pack 2.0, ENB series, Leon better hair "Snake hair" AND HD CINEMATICS) the problem i have is: i tried a few month ago to use the Texmod program to add HD menus and HUD, but i had some crashes... So the BIG QUESTION IS: (sorry for capital letters but i have been trying for weeks to find a solution and i can't find an answer) Is there a way to have HD menu + HD HUB + everything i use (including HD cinematics) WITHOUT using Texmod? i don't really like Texmod program (i find it difficult to launch the game and it causes me crashes very often... but if there is no other choice i will use it... but it would be nice if someone could help me.... i am using the euro version i think -i have english, french, spanish, and other languages selection at beginning of the game...) please, if someone can help me getting this, it would be GREAT and very nice from you...
