So what's the update on this? Really can't wait till this is finished.
I was also thinking about RE 0 as well. I wonder if it can be modded the same way.

RE0 remaster really does not need this treatment though, the difference is that Capcom obviously had not perfected proper optimization as well as background texture upscalling back when they first release the RE remake remaster on PC, with RE0 they where able to get it right since that game not only was optimized for PC correctly it also allowed the background textures to be upscaled accordingly, just looking at it on my current PC right connected to a 4k tv and its night and day the difference between the background quality of RE remaster in comparison to RE0 remaster which is why IMO RE0 remaster would not require a High Quality background mod due to the background already being in High Quality unlike the REremaster ones.

The 0's remaster were rendered again in high quality, it's a shame that Capcom not did the same with the remake, a lost oportunity to see the remake in all of it's grandeur. The only sense to redo RE0 is for do a 3d project and not static cameras. Well, I will love to have the 0 backgrounds in a 3d environment... Both, with a moveable camera like code veronica or in first person would be orgasmic. A system to change between both cameras would be

Wonderful work, I was really disappointed when I saw some backgrounds were really blurry and ugly back when REmaster was released... That, plus the sped up music, which you already fixed  Anyway, I sympathize with anyone who's been waiting for this mod since 2015, I bought the game again on PC a few weeks ago so the wait will be a bit shorter for me  It'll be worth it.

a big maybe that this will be out this year.
i am just imagining how complex the laboratory is alone.
down to modeling the gadgets and laboratory equipment.
plus the cabin has a laboratory underneath with 3 floors and sharks that swim in it.
it should actually be no surprise that it has been so long waiting for this.
my huge respect goes out to undertaking such a large project.

I'm still working on it but I also work on other projects. And personal life has been draining me of energy lately. But I'm still making progress, getting better textures, improving models. I'm even experimenting with a different workflow to get better lighting and renders.

I wonder if it's also possible to toggle different camera angles in some rooms.
now that some of them will be in full 3D. what a trip that would be.

This is absolutely incredible! I cannot imagine any of this is easy but you are doing one phenomenal job on it, I would love to play through it in all its glory when your finished. Thanks again for all the hard work and love put into this <3

Dude i cannot tell you how much it means to me seeing your work on Resident Evil 1 Remake/Remastered
This game is my favorite out of all Re games and i have been hoping to god someone would take the lead and make an actual HD texture pack for it
You make sure to give yourself all the time in the world it needs to make this an absolute perfection in which i am certain you will
Your work on this game puts the RE Upscale Project to shame from the looks of the images
