The problem is we get something that the developers think we want. RE6 shows how fans' requests and desires get lost in translation.
Fans requested the return of established characters from past titles, "classic" zombies and small-scale viral outbreaks among other things, but as we know all of these showed up botched to hell and back in the game, it wasn't exactly what we wanted.
I wish I could say "we as fans should let CAPCOM do their thing" but we all know we are likely to get some sort of messy abomination as CAPCOM has been clueless with their game brands for years. thank you dear sharontubul unfortunately they just know and care about box office and i think they never cared about old fans and they don't even know anything about this franchise now my only hope on this franchise is re2 remake but: "I wish I could say "we as fans should let CAPCOM do their thing" but we all know we are likely to get some sort of messy abomination as CAPCOM has been clueless with their game brands for years."

Surely, if a new development team was brought in, they could spend 5 minutes browsing any RE forum and see that people aren't fond of overly actionized, personality-less garbage like UC?
I hope the review score of UC on Steam, currently sitting at 27%~ Positive reviews, tells them all they need to know.

I tried to be positive about it, pre-ordered the deluxe and everything, but simply couldn't enjoy it at all. Thank goodness Steam has a refund option - sad I felt compelled to use it. I hope this will be a learning experience for them.

>greentexting outside of 4chan >Caring about something so stupid Just a quick reply to this before this thread goes too far offtopic. Most people don't know why would you put a "more than" symbol before your statement. (for those who don't know, it means to imply something and at the same time, it turns your text green until line break on 4chan) Since that feature is unique to that imageboard and on clones it spawned, it makes no sense to continue that practice outside of said imageboards. These forums have variety of options to format text to your liking. Why not use those features instead of something that doesn't even work here?

I believe the context of @commambershep usage of > was in conjunction with "more than" rather than 4 chan itself
So > Capcom means something or nothing itself is better than what Capcom produces (Umbrella Corps in this case), at least that's how I took it.
Why does it need to be used exclusive to 4chan just because it would turn green there? Should #hashtags be exclusive to twitter, or musical notation/ number signs for that matter? Its really a silly thing to comment on.
So when will Umbrella Corps receive new maps? Anyone know an exact date?

I mean, it's become a pretty common format for laying things out, so I don't see why you get so uppity about how someone formats their rep,y
So again: WHO CARES?
Also you took it wrong, Buschy. Read it as "Capcom. Learning from their mistakes" in a droll, sarcastic voice.

it's become a pretty common format for laying things out It's really not. Buschy immediately demonstrated so. Apparently I do. I'm not trying to be hostile here, it just bothers me. Can we go back to speaking about how shitty this game is?

I'll reiterate. Again. Nobody cares. Shh. Why are you on defensive? You have not given a single argument about why "nobody cares"; You've just been spamming that same line. Have I offended you somehow?

Have I offended you somehow? You're taking something simple way too seriously. Let's just drop this and ideally you'll never talk to me ever again.

Just goes to show how the lack of good content is keeping fans on edge. mechanicalpaladin I don't recall you being a moderator, so I don't understand why you felt such a strong need to attempt managing the thread. All you did was to derail it further so congratulations.
