The goal of this mod is to replace the firing sounds of all weapons within Resident Evil 4. So far I have completed all of Leon's weapons, replacing them with more realistic firing sounds of a higher quality (Using Stereo files rather than Mono). More weapons will come in the future, including Ada's campaign and Mercenaries exclusive weapons. Currently the following weapons are included: - Handgun (wep02)
- Punisher (wep01)
- Blacktail (wep04)
- Red 9 (wep03)
- Shotgun (wep07)
- Riot Shotgun (wep33)
- Striker (wep08)
- TMP (wep11)
- Matilda (wep17)
- Chicago Typewriter (wep12)
- Bolt-Action Rifle (wep09)
- Semi-Auto Rifle (wep10)
- Broken Butterfly (wep05)
- Killer 7 (wep06)
- Handcannon (wep15)

Installation
Remember to back up your files before overwriting.Copy all the files (or choose desired weapon file from the list above) to 'Resident Evil 4\BIO4\snd' and overwrite where necessary.

I really dislike the vanilla gun sounds for this game. Now it feels like shooting real guns instead of paintball guns. Good work!

Is there a tutorial on how to change the sounds anywhere? I'd like to mod some myself on the Steam version. Thank you!

I followed this guide: residentevilmodding.boards.net/thread/871/modding-audio-sound-effectsIt still left me a bit confused however so it was a lot of trial and error

Sorry, I'm not so sure about the ogg files :/ I only needed to deal with the xwb files when making this mod. Truthfully I didn't realise the UHD version still used ogg files

If the mod you're trying to install does then it's likely for the original PC realease of the game which I don't own . Can I have a link to it? I'll give it a look.
