OK so I have made mods for RE HD before using the ARC extract/repack, so I know how it works..
I wanted to change Claire's default outfit in Campaign mode, so looked up the ARC list and extracted all her textures - then edited them. Repacked and copied the ARC to the game folder, but in-game nothing happened..
Tried Raid Mode and the same.. nothing. This doesn't get effected by the Options graphic settings does it? I have it on High at the moment - though I doubt that is the error..
I did notice Claire's folder had a lot of sub folders - so maybe I edited the wrong files??
PL2210.ARC gave me 2 folders, both containing a pl and N (?) folder...

Each character arc file for campaign has 2 sets of texture files (1 dirty and 1 clean) so you have to replace both of those with your edited textures. Also make sure that you are testing it in the correct episode because each episode uses different files. Last but not least don't forget to convert the dds files back into .tex before repacking the arc.

So I need to change Claire's textures 8 times to work for the entire game! A bit much... EDIT: OK so I decided to change the Rodeo outfit (since its DLC and available for all episodes) and it edited just fine! Got Raid Mode Claire default to mod correctly - this is the (WIP poor effort) or making the RE2 alternate outfit (obviously without modding meshes, this is hard to do with textures alone) I added the band to go across Claire's hair - but it only shows on her forehead and now around her head (I think the hair is a seperate texture to her face texture (which also includes hair - excluding ponytail) Very confusing.. If anyone could port the DSC Biker outfit over, I could easily mod that to make this look better. Is there any way to mod models without 3DS Max? Using Blender or an alternative program?

The hair comes in 2 different texture files. (Not including dirty ones) The one with the ponytail should be the only one you will need to edit if you want to add a bandana around the head and to answer your question yes you can edit with Blender using the script from this page residentevilmodding.boards.net/thread/3553/rer-re6-mod-tool-blenderYour re-skin is looking good so far keep it up ^_^

Thanks... yeah it was only a rough draft at best - If I can shorten Claire's jacket and open it out a little, it should look more like it does in RE2 (Or like DSC's white biker Jacket, which is basically a reskin)
