eport seems to work too but need deeper testing i think hmm well there is no rigging so i dont suppose we can do anything with T posed bodies Also What tools do you use to export the arcs cuz i want to edit the textures too if you ever make rigging and stuff work no rigging ? only mod file i tested on this game do have skeleton and rigging working correctly.

Well, I exported a model into DMC4SE and while the rigging works just fine, the lighting, however doesn't. I modded the Nero pl000.mod file. And from what I figure, it happens to other exported models, too. This even happens if you export the model after making no changes. Edit: From what I can figure the normals don't seem to export properly. When I checked the model in game, there are blackened areas.

seems Fluffyquack need someof the lp2 arc files for adding tex to dds extraction support i think. also i will have a look at the normals problem for dmc4 today but i think it may come from something else like texture wrongly repacked or some other file maybe.

Personally, I doubt it's the textures, since I haven't modified them, yet. This problem happens even if you import, then export without making any changes to the model.

can you try unpacking and repacking the arc file to see if the problem occur (without loading/exporting the mesh in max)

Well the thing is, I've been editing the files outside the arc. So I don't think it has anything to do with repacking. Edit: Tried a few things and here's a better comparison of the issue: Arc repacked, no .mod changes made. Arc repacked, .mod imported then exported.

thanks for providing them : you are right normals are stored on -127<-> +128 (signed byte) basis where other games are 0<-> 255 unsigned byte. it explain the wrong normals and i will need to add fix for all fvf !!!!! pain in ass lol

Ouch. Capcom sure don't like to make things easy, do they? Still if DMC4SE uses that new normal set up, I suspect Resident Evil 0 will be the same, when that's released.
