Because most people who have re5 still unfortunately have a low end pc. It's a shame, but it's hard to get a pretty high end pc cheap.

:::Changes::: Claire Redfield CV over Sheva (Both Vests) I noticed that there was a crash with Claire in the story, so I figured I'd update it + adding the high quality textures Felix has provided in his original post. As an alternate, I gave those a low resolution pack in the first post as well.
Mercenaries Menu is updated to something less low in quality.
This is a very small update and after the new zombie mod shown and doing some tweaks here and there. I hope to change all Majini into a zombie giving credits to Zero of course.

Yes it's time for another update. Let's start with the little stuff. Claire had an issue with her hands when I reuploaded her, so I did the same in this new pack giving her the default jill hands felix provided.
Now onto more important matters. This is actually a big update considering it took me quite a while to mess around with some enemy swaps + enemy weapons. With the newly released crimson head (thanks to zer0), I figured I'd get my hands dirty by tweaking it a little bit more (with zer0's help on the side).
The idea was to have the enemies seem more zombie like, with new sound effects + no weapons appearing in their hands. The results went pretty well. Granted I wanted to do more for the swaps, but this does serve as a good foundation till we can import more models or I can retexture the zombies more.

:EDIT: I did manage to swap Nemesis and Mr.x Over their respective enemies. Just gonna wait till I can do a little bit more before uploading a new rendition.

Hey man, I have a few errors with this mod.
1) No Mercenaries profile pictures, including model's in character select.
2) models appear fine in costume select however
3) Chris S.T.A.R.S has Josh's voice
4) I cant select anyone else in campaign but barry. I can change Sheva's character around fine.. Barry is love, Barry is life.
Aside from that, everything seems to be working fine so far.
I tried applying the "versus mode" thing you suggested on the old forum, but all that did was glitch out hte voices and give barry the ability to wesker dash and give him weskers meele moves.

To me it sounds like you have a few mods already installed. I do not recommend having the model swap trainer installed when using this mod. You need a fresh slate.
So this is my suggestion:
1) Go back to original RE5 setup (no other mods installed, no pawn folders, etc) 2) Install the versus mod first 3) Apply my mod right after
If there is problems still, take pics to let me know how your folders look like.

Well I had both a Boss Wesker Mod and the Model Trainer mod avalible, but the Model trainer was never open ever since installing this. Regardless. I played a game of 6-3 today, and for whatever reason GFWL wiped my save. Yup. Completely. The guy quit after the credits and it said "this profile has no save data you need to create a new save file blah blah blah." So I uninstalled it and re-installed it fresh, applying just your mod. Leon is now in campaign.. but I have to start from the begining. I'll check to see if the profiles and that are there later on. Do I still need the versus mod for that? Cause as I said, last time I did that, it kinda messed everything up. Can You link me to the right one, just incase I didnt download the wrong one by mistake? I apologize for being a pain. Your mod is just making RE5 the perfect game I ever dreamed of all the years I was playing it on consoles. I was like "I want barry with Wesker as a partner or so and so forth so it's all complete" and you did just that and made me able to play as them in campaign with their hidden lines too? Just thank you so much ... also what's this I hear about outbreak online? I played that a shit ton during my "childhood" on ps2 offline. It was my favourite resident evil game.

It's always a pleasure man and I'm glad you are being a good sport about this. Alright so like before since you have both the boss wesker mod + model swap trainer, they both require you to have a pawn folder and a bunch of silly things that do make Resident Evil read from outside the Archive folder. The biggest problem with this is it can hinder all types of mods that work interally rather than externally. I had issues with doing things externally and now make all my mods internally so it is safer, and easier to manage. Basically in a nutshell. I HIGHLY recommend deleting everything in your resident evil 5 folder and reinstall a fresh slate. With no mods whatsoever. After you do that I recommend doing as I say above bro. Install the versus mod first (pretty easy to perform, and make sure its 1.7 provided in my link). After doing that, make sure the versus mod has a shortcut -> make sure you run as administrator in the properties (under compatibility) and of course test to make sure it runs in game. If you it works for you then apply my Mercenaries Redemption Mod. Now if this doesn't work for you, be sure to check the versus.ini file to make sure it is DX10 = 1 (if you use dx10) or DX10 = 0 (if you use dx9). Any other questions you have feel free to ask here. I assuming you was linking me to the FAQ in regards to outbreak yes? I still dont get it. I need a Japanese PS2 and Japanese copy of the game? It seems very confusing.. how'd they manage to get up the official online past the error message that pops up? regardless. This all seems very awesome and when I can acess it, via an emulator or if I can find a friggin Japanese PS2 and copy of the game,I'll be playing it for hours online. heh. Hopefully you would be kind enough to help me understand more? Sorry for being a pain in the...arse.
Okay.. starting from fresh slate now. Hopefully everything will be fine. I'm guessing my wesker mod was still in there after the re-install, considering in cutscenes,Leon both had his head, Chris' head and Wesker's head bleeding through the cutscenes.. it was... it was creepy..

Also. I was just re-reading the features this mod does.
What is the Excella, Carlos and Nikolai characters about? you name them as "Chris Meele Vest" "Chris Bulletproof" and the same for Sheva..
Do they get replaced by these models if I wear them vests or what? I'm confused..

Alright for those characters they are as follows (again keep in mind some of them are beta till I model import the proper chars)
Chris BSAA (while he is wearing his melee vest) changes him into Carlos reskin (temporary) Chris BSAA (which he is wearing his bullet proof vest) changes him into Dechant (temporary) Chris BSAA (which he is wearing both the melee vest + bullet proof vest) changes him into Excella
Sheva BSAA (while she is wearing her melee vest) changes her into STARS Wesker Sheva BSAA (while she is wearing her bulletproof vest) changes her into Nicholai (temporary) Sheva BSAA (while she is wearing both the melee vest + bullet proof vest) changes her into Claire CV
In order to choose these characters, you must first make sure Chris or Sheva has their default costume equipped
