Hello all! Very basic into Resident Evil 5 modding here, and trying to do something different. I want to try and give Chris Jill's voice, to see if that is even possible! I tried following along with what was said here: residentevilmodding.boards.net/thread/5798/change-voices-gameWhen this person replaced Sheva's voice. It seemed straight forward enough, but every time I reload the game it still just comes out as Chris' voice when he's attacking or running around. IS there anything specific I should be doing? The main thing I tried doing is changing making a copy of emo_vo_02_j.stq and replacing emo_vo_00_c.stq in bgm Then replacing all of se_pl02 to se_pl00. But I feel like I'm missing something here...like I'm not sure if I should also be replacing the se_pl0101 to se_pl0301. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there! Definitely possible. To clarify that thread and your thoughts; STQ controls their voicelines, their SFX are in the model themselves in an SPC file. What you need is to extract each character model's arcs to access them. Arc Tool: residentevilmodding.boards.net/thread/481/arc-unpacker-repacker-v0-428SPC Tool: residentevilmodding.boards.net/thread/14034/resident-evil-xsew-spc-toolFor example: Chris basic BSAA model is named upl00ChrisNormal.arc within the NativePC_MT\archive\image folder. Jill BSAA from Mercs is upl02JillCos1.arc. Using the Arc tool, you extract them. When you enter their extracted folder, such as Jill (uPl02JillCos1\sound\se\pl) you'll find their SPC file. This is where the SFX are stored. You might be able to swap them between each other and name them correct per character. But I've noticed some characters have their SFX in a different order, so it might not function properly. TBH all the mods I've made I've done individually and swapped sounds personally. I would extract both Chris and Jills as wav extension files via the tool and double check everything is in a similar order and replace each one individually to avoid bugs.

Haha, and while I was doing this it looks like someone else had already done it XD
But what's important is that now I know what to do. Thank you DEERE!
