Well in all realism if you saw a zombie you won't just slowly run-walk I would book it and slide and jump over things as well lol!!! Not what i said either but you'll have dying light for this kind of gameplay xD if you want something realistic, you're not supposed to go to resident evil games ... because first how the hell do you explain that while a freakin' infection none of our superheroes get infected ( in the manor, in raccoon ) then, as i said and repeated, that kind of gameplay adds tension to the player, which is what resident evil games tried to do the whole time x) so with free movement, it kills that effect ! Well, I am confuse lol

Honestly speaking? To me, true Resident Evil fans are the ones that accept what the franchise evolves into. Have to disagree with you there. For one, I do not believe in that term of a "true fan", all that term does is draw battle lines on forums since one side may think they are true fans while the others do as well and it causes nothing but problems. Not saying that is the case here, but just giving my opinion on that term. And secondly, you can't blame those who do not like when their favorite franchise changes into something unrecognizable from its original concept, its perfectly fine if they do not accept any and all changes, just like its ok if some fans the opposite and accept any iteration of Resident Evil thrown at them no matter how much it changes. But as I said I like elements from the action oriented Resident Evil titles and would love to see some of it blended in with the survival horror aspects. And I'm ok with a series evolving, but I want it to expand upon its previous genre not move into another genre all together which is what I feel Resident Evil did. I just think it would have been great for Capcom to find a way to add some innovation to the series without abandoning the survival horror they redefined so many years ago. Like take Resident Evil 3.5 for example, now don't get me wrong, I loved RE4 for what it is, but everything about Resident Evil 3.5 seemed like it would have been the better route to take since it still remained in the survival horror genre but added new gameplay as well as enemies to the series.

So?
If I see a zombie, as repeated again, or such as zombie DOGS.
I am not going to run at the slow speed that Jill runs at, ima freaking book it.
RE3 with RE6 style combat and movement would be cool school.

Plus i never said the movements had to be SLOW but just harder to go away like in RE 4 for example x)

I think something like Lost in Nightmares in RE5 is a good place for RE to go. IMHO, it was a fun mix of the classic survival horror environments and ambience with the newer gameplay mechanics. This right here. Although, Mercenaries since RE4 has been one of the best additions to the series I think. What Capcom should do is make an offshoot multiplayer series with Mercenaries mode and ORC-style online, and make the main series more about survival horror and online connectivity (like the old Outbreak games). Eiichiro Sasaki could do it, he seems to still care about the online connectivity part.

IMHO, it was a fun mix of the classic survival horror environments and ambience with the newer gameplay mechanics. ^This. In Chapter DLC LIN from RE5, which of the strength is enough for 20 minutes, I and then more able to feel the nostalgia for the "old days" classics from the game than in Revelations, even despite the fact that there is a coop. Monotony enemies of course a bit smooths all the general impression, but the overall atmosphere is excellent and served in the right way. I 'm sure at 100% that the presence of co-op does not spoil the game and with it is possible to transmit and classic atmosphere and scare the player , just Capcom still reluctant to reveal its full potential , limiting interactions as only players to pull the handle or cover player on arm's length. In other words, the concept of Lost in a Nightmare for me the perfect blend of old school and new game mechanics! It is in this vein that I would like to see the future of the game series, the only thing I would like to have more dominance of survival than action. I want to see more puzzles, traps like at the old parts where you could stop and really take advantage of its brain, and not those puzzles for children that were in the last part (though it's hard to call riddles).

I much prefer the Survival Horror, but I feel like it's a little to late for Capcom to change it back. BUT they should certainly try to make Resident Evil scarier. Bringing back some of the things that made the original games scary would be a step in the right direction.

I'll be remembered as the greatest Emperor ever to rule the Sith. That'll do nicely don't you agree?

Personally I prefer the older survival horror themed games. Games like Revelations, Lost in Nightmares DLC is a perfect example of how they can mix the old with the new, I can only hope that Capcom goes in that direction as 4,5 and 6 where massive disapointments.

What it appears is being done to "The Evil Within" is really where I wish the direction RE was heading in, but I just know it won't happen sadly

I don't know quite what but something about 'The Evil Within' doesn't feel right to me. Like someone tried to smush Resident Evil 4 with Bioshock + a ghost story.

About Evil Within...they could aswell name it "Outlast 2". I really don't know why people so exited about Evil Within. Hopefully it's plot would be better then Nanomachines™.
