I was hoping you could help me with two different changes I want to mod in to Resident Evil 4. I assume one is much easier than the other, but help with either will be appreciated! I want chickens to drop either white, brown, or gold eggs on death and I want the Matilda to be purchasable when the Striker unlocks on Round 1 (having it purchasable all the time is okay too). I don't expect a quick reply on this, but any help would be much appreciated! I'm using the Ultimate HD Steam version which might be why I'm having so many issues getting this to work. okay so there are a few steps for doing each one of those. 1- chickens always droppig eggs on death: for that you will need to edit the .ITA file of every map that has a chicken spawned. IIRC you can insert more than one ITA entry per ESL ID and in the end the game randomly chooses one to pick from when said enemy dies. So you can choose to either decide which egg one specific chicken will spawn, or add 3 entries per chicken to add a randomness factor. You can learn how to mod items (.ITA) in this thread. You also need to learn how to use Son of Persia's toolset in order to extract/repack some files. 2- making the matilda appear in the merchant menu at the same place of the striker: I have written before a tutorial on how to change the merchant stock as the game progresses. In this example for adding the matilda, you need to search for the striker ID. After finding it, every other item entry along with the Striker that are between FF FF FF FF 00 00 00 00 entries are the entries loaded when leon first enters the Verdugo sewers. You should probably find an entry for a First Aid Spray and this one is safe to replace to any item (matilda in your case). EDIT: also if you want to add upgrades to the matilda, you should take a look at my other tutorial for adding upgrades. I have a bunch of tutorials for those types of modifications here, so if you need anything try taking a look at the modding tutorials section.

I have gotten the Matilda in-game, but only in certain merchants and without being able to upgrade it. I followed your advice and used the Striker to find the Matilda as well as matching the upgrade Hex Ids since they upgrade the same, but no luck yet. You have already helped enough, but if there's any advice you can give I would appreciate it.

In the part "LOADING MOVIES IN PLACE OF CUTSCENES (SWAPPING)" It is possible that the game will load edited videos instead of the originals, that is, the intro of the game or the pre-rendered videos of Separate Ways with others without the need to replace the originals, and if so, what process can be followed to achieve it. Or do I just replace the sfd videos and enable the option? [VIDEO_RESOLUTION] Enable = true Thanks in advance.

What I want is to load custom videos, these are already made, converted into SFD and if I replace the original ones the game loads them, but they cause me some errors, errors that I could correct using the dll, changing this: "[VIDEO_RESOLUTION] Enable = true " My question is, is this enough? And maybe I can do something similar to what is explained in "LOADING MOVIES IN PLACE OF CUTSCENES (SWAPPING)" that is to say not replace the original videos and put them in the folder "Resident Evil 4 \ BIO4 \ movie \ EVD_MOVIES" and make it load the edited videos in place of the originals but without removing or modifying the originals. and if so, how can I do it? In summary what I want is to put videos in "Resident Evil 4 \ BIO4 \ movie \ EVD_MOVIES" to load those custom videos, but instead of replacing EVD files I want it to replace the original pre-rendered videos, what I want to know is if that is possible. or do I just replace the SFD videos?

yes, just rename your videos to the names of the original videos (back up your originals first). Files need to be in SFD format

I want to ask something, before this .dll made, re4 UHD engine is very sensitive about high poly, even when character rig is restricted, can this .dll solve the problem? ..... - Allocate more RAM for certain stuff(stage files, textures, enemies etc); - ss_pzzl.dat file can be up to 32MBs in size; - 32MBs of memory for player .udas and up to 16MBs for weapon .udas, 8MBs for vertex data, allowing to have around 55k polygons for player model and more than just 255 vertex bone/weight entries; - Player/Enemy models do not disappear when a certain poly limit has been reached; and more...... see first post in this thread. Normal without Dll - 20k And with Dll - 40k But you can try ?
And that For RE4 UHD
For re4 old under 60k For Re5 under 55k ( for total with Cutscene only 51k ) And for Re6 up to 130k ( for total With Cutscene only 100k )
