When I use the raz0r dll with the vanilla game the game crashes on start-up. I verified integrity of the files and the checks are good. When I install the dll with re4hd project installed I can enter the game, but upon opening the inventory the game crashes, same applies when I remove re4hd's re4.exe and .dlls files. The reason I want raz0r dll is because it allows us to have overcome the polygon limit which is what I need to load my 18k poly m4a1 mod into the game. Which does in-fact load, but as stated earlier the game will crash if I open the inventory screen (regardless of me having the mod installed.) What do you think I can do about this? Any ideas? maybe something I missed?

metroidguy Are you using any other DLLs? What version of the game are you running? Is it a legit Steam copy?

I have the re4hd project mod on, so I had Albert's re4tweaks.dlls, but I have named them differently to add compatibility with the raz0r .dlls (procedure according to re4tweaks creator)
I have a legit copy of the game and I'm running the 4gb patched 1.06 version you provided
I have tried running the vanilla game with just the 1.06 version with raz0r .dlls and like I said earlier they crash the game on start-up.
When running Alberts re4hdmod and the re4tweaks renamed .dlls with raz0r .dlls then I can enter the game but the game crashes when I open the inventory
I have found a weird fix though, when I enter the game I pick up an item ex: shotgun shells, and when I open the inventory it no longer crashes, this seems to fix the issue even if I load the game from checkpoint or load another savegame. Interesting...
When I close the game I have to do the same thing next time I open the game though.
Edit: the .dlls in my Bin32 are:
dinput8.dll (raz0rs)
steam_api.dll
winmm.dll (re4tweaks renamed .dll to work with raz0r .dll)

I don't know what to say about your vanilla game not working with Raz0r's dll. There are countless people who use this DLL with the vanilla game just fine, so perhaps you should redownload everything and see if that helps.
As for using it with the RE4 Tweaks, you have to set 'RaiseInventoryAlloc = False' in the winmm.ini file because what is happening is that both dll's are trying to accomplish the same thing at once.

I thought the same thing, so I have disabled the inventory screen option fix in winmm.ini, but I still crash. I changed the winmm.dll to xinput1_3.dll (2nd naming option according to re4tweaks site) but the game won't even start that way. Even though I validated all files I will delete all vanilla files and start a fresh download later.

If anyone is experiencing crashes with re4tweaks and raz0rs companion .dll this is what worked for me:
rename re4tweaks dinput8.dll and dinput8.ini to winmm.dll and winmm.ini respectively. Put raz0rs .dlls as normal and you should be good to go. Also, make sure you have game.exe 1.06 installed and it is 4gb patched.

This DLL will not work with a crack, only Steam version that is legit. If you have a legit version of the game and are still getting this error, please contact Raz0r, as I am not able to help with system errors.

hello again when i put dinput8.dll in bin32 folder and start the game this error will apear (bio4.exe unable to start correctly click OK to close) im using steam version and i have a another question do this dll need 4 installed ram memory? sorry for bad english in this message and prev message and how to contact raz0r

Best to contact the author (Raz0r) as I didn't make this DLL, I only helped design its functions. This thread is really for support for people trying to learn how to use this DLL. I am sorry, but I can not help you.
