Hey everyone, I'd like to start by saying thanks to Kitty! See this thread to see their tutorial on how to change the Difficulty adjustment damage values. I made a GUI to help change the values mentioned and make it a little convenient to see and save those changes. Release: re3r-tools-da-modifier-v1.1
Source: githubHope this helps someone out there Edit: For a breakdown on how to modify enemy body part damage multipliers -> go here

Hey there, thanks for the tool. I have an issue though. Any time I try to edit a value, when I click away it resets the value to 100%.

Managed to get it to work, just had to hit enter on the numberpad. Weird, but I'll take it!

Why are these DA Rank 19 pieces? The game has only 5 difficulty levels. Which of these DA Ranks corresponds to each difficulty level?

Why are these DA Rank 19 pieces? The game has only 5 difficulty levels. Which of these DA Ranks corresponds to each difficulty level? Because DA is a number that changes from actions taken in the game. Different difficulties change the DA rank 'range'. I'm only aware of a couple: - Inferno: DA rank minimum is 11, and max is 19
- Nightmare: DA rank minimum ?, and max is 10
- Hardcore and under: never checked.
However, if you use the SRT (speedrun tool) for resident evil 3 you can see the DA Rank and test for them in game for each difficulty. To find the speedrun tool, just google 'resident evil 3 speed run tool'.

someone can add to my post if i'm wrong or missing something, but from what i read on various sites and hear on youtube; DA 0-2 is assisted mode, DA 3-8 is standard, DA 8-9 is hardcore, DA 10 is nightmare, and DA 11-19 is inferno. your DA is determine by how good or terrible you play in game; landing all your shots, dodging hits, not dying, etc will make it increase or drop. enemies take less damage the higher your DA is, 3 head shots could become 5-7 head shots to a regular zombie and such. there are certain events in game that your DA is fixed or drops to a particular setting, i think right before flamethrower nemesis being one and...maybe hospital defense (if i'm not mistaken). nightmare DA is fixed so you deal and take damage equal throughout the game, which i think is pretty nice and a mode i like playing on most.

Source: githubHope this helps someone out there Hello! Thanks so much for making this tool, very useful Now I can make a God Mode, in a way haha I was wondering if there's a similar tool for RE2 Remake as well? Thank you in advance Also wanted to ask, is it possible to isolate damage on enemies? I've been meaning to make a mod similar to the instant headshot kill mod from RE2 Remake. I don't want to have to rely on the assault coins and I want to retain the struggle against Nemesis and other special enemies. I only want to be able to kill zombies and zombie dogs in one headshot for an "immersive" experience, so to speak lol

I don't even have time to research the mod stuff for RE3R I'm interested in. The past 2 months have been pretty difficult. Isolating damage is one thing I really want to figure out as well, and it's one of the things on my research bucket list at the moment. When I can find where the health values for enemies is kept, then I will make a tool for it as well don't you worry! As I also wanted to change the health values to rebalance the game and make Nemesis an absolute nightmare for everyone I'll update this post once I have that figured out, but at the moment there's no ETA since I haven't had any time to research, and it's been around a month since I've made any modding efforts. Apologies for that to everyone waiting on a breakthrough.

he say to me when i open it load DA file what that ? Unpack the game files using the RETool. This tool modifies the file gamerankparameterdata.user.2 You can find this file in the unpacked game files, go to 'natives\stm\escape\userdata\system'. Hope that helps

I'm quite thankful for the speedy reply lol I was a little worried XD I'm sorry to hear for your troubles, these times are hurting for everybody and some of us mostly find solace in our videogames If you ever get around to doing the same for RE2 Remake, I'll appreciate it very much but I can definitely wait. I've been looking around for info on isolating damage since I really want to be able to kill zombies with one headshot while keeping the rest of their body health intact. Just looking for an immersive experience where "shoot them in the head" really applies in this zombie genre haha and yep, make Nemesis a true badass and a nightmare. I do want to make headshots on Nemesis hurt more than shooting the obvious target on his chest haha would be a nice turnaround making you think the power limiter is the target but it's actually his head XD sorry if that sounds crazy haha I can wait, I don't want to rush you especially in times like these. I wish you luck in your efforts, it seems you have a better hold on this type of modding than I do so I'll leave that up to you, though I'll still be doing some of my other modding lol Thank you, again! I really appreciate it

I really appreciate it I appreciate the sentiments. Thank you Oh if you'd like to modify body part damage values I can point you to where I have found interesting values that have to do with that. This folder 'natives\stm\escape\userdata\character\enemy' seems to have all the values for configuring enemies in the game. em9000 is Nemesis and inside it you can see ' esem9000zoneweakcriticaluserdata.user.2'. When I last examined it, it showed signs of damage modification values similar to the DA modification values. As for regular enemies, I can't find the file but I remember seeing something that related to body part damage modification. I can't remember if it was ' emdefaultweapondatauserdata.user.2', ' emweaponreactiondefaultuserdata.user.2', or if I'm just mistaking the nemesis zone weak critical user data file for the normal enemy files. But yeah in case I take too long, or you're curious to experiment, that's the last discovery I made a month ago about damage modification. Specifically that enemy folder is ripe for me to dive into and modify quite a lot of things, but I've listed it here in case someone else would also like to experiment too

This is extremely helpful! While I'm mostly interested in the regular zombies and zombie dogs, I will see if I can experiment with Nemesis. Does this require more hex editing or is your tool compatible? Nevertheless, hopefully we can delve deeper into figuring out which is which lol thanks, again. Much appreciated
