This replaces the title screen music with the original RE3 Options theme: I made this just to try my hand at making a music mod for the game. The goal is to slowly try and make a classic OST mod since there's no word on whether we'll be getting an official one. I'm using the .wavs from the original RE3 PC port for reference. Edit: I'm releasing the updated version of this mod with the Save Room and Nemesis theme replacements. I will mention that Nemesis' theme has a slight issue where the first 2 seconds will repeat at the beginning of the initial loop, if anyone is anal about that sort of thing. I haven't had time to sort it out this week, but I figured some people might still want to play the game with it anyway so here it is. Download Link

Thank you so much for doing this. Looks awesome and I also really hope that it will be possible to mod more musics into the game.

hi i need help how to export and import sound file bnk pck dialuge please help me i need this can you video tutorial me? I haven't messed with the dialogue files as I'm still working through learning this myself. It does look like there might be a solution here though: residentevilmodding.boards.net/thread/10415/modding-changing-points-adding-longer?page=4If you look at zombizombi's post he has an outline written that might be able to help you out.

Just a quick question, were you able to identify any other audio files? especially like background/ambient sounds; ex. when you get to the part where you see the zombies trying to break the fences and the substation; you hear like a overhead PSA speaker voice.
trying to extract audio but is a bit different from RE2R.
thanks

These are in the music_resident.bnk file. Honestly, trying to find out what can be replaced is very trial and error. For example, the music_resident.pck.3.stm in the STM\Streaming\Escape\Sound\Wwise directory is identical to the System.pck.3.stm file there, but replacing audio in the System pck had no effect. On the other hand, replacing audio in the music_resident pck just added silence over every track in that file while in game. Only the music_resident bnk was successful. The problem with that is, it doesn't contain all of the audio files found in the music_resident/System pck. For a breakdown of what I've found: STM\Streaming\Escape\Sound\Wwise 1. music_resident/System.pck.3.stm - contains the majority of the music found in the demo. I wasn't able to replace anything. 2. bgm_chp3_level.pck.3.stm - the radio in the restaurant playing the RE2 credits theme 3. music_title.pck.3.stm - the title screen music
STM\Escape\Sound\Wwise 1. music_resident.bnk.2.stm - contains maybe half of the audio files in the music_resident\System.pck. I was able to replace audio here.
On another note, if you open a .bnk and it contains non playable Wems, they can still be replaced. The Save Room .Wem (139089681) in the music_resident.bnk is too small to actually playback anything, but I was able to replace it without any issue. And if you are replacing the audio in a .bnk directly, there's no need to make any changes to any of the .pck files associated with it. Not sure if this is common knowledge but I thought I'd share it for anyone else new to audio modding.

Looks like a cool project! Do you think it would be possible to also have the classic sound effects from the original game? Although perhaps as a separate independent mod? So you can mix and match. RE2 has the classic OST but the classic sound effects were packaged together. Would be cool to test the new music from RE3 but with classic sound effects and then on a later play through play with classic OSt and classic sound effects.

I'm still holding out hope that Capcom releases an official DLC for classic OST but that seems unlikely. So thank you for doing this! Means a great ton
