Real Weapon & Item NamesThis mod does exactly that. Changes the weapons and items in game text to be real life equivalents. This mod is now fully compatible with the main game! go nuts! It supports most languages, I tried my best but the best language option to use will be english.

As with my RE2R version. Samurai Edge will be keeping its name as its custom variant of the M92FS made for STARS members, I like it like this.

Brilliant mod! I've always hated silly names for arms in these games. Will do it for the whole arsenal when full game launches? Also did you also release this mod for RE2? Much appreciated!

Do we even know the magnum will be a Desert Eagle? It could be some secrets that contain a Colt Python aka Barry's Gun too, maybe we will get a DLC at some point? I'm all for changing the names to make it realistic, but we do not know anything yet about the other weapons that are unavailable, sadly....

Whatever weapons are in the full release that we haven't seen yet I will adjust anything if need be Also read this only if you don't mind spoilers:
I've seen the guns in the game from the France leak. Theres the Desert Eagle from RE2 and there's no Colt Python sadly.

This could greatly help other modders. residentevilmodding.boards.net/thread/12517/mod-pak-files-re3-demoif you mean the .msg files? then theres a tool pinned in the RE Modding Discord in the re2 section. I used that same tool for RE2Rs .msg files. RE3s have the extension .15 instead of .14, first change re3s to 14 then put it into a hex editor and change the first 0F to 0E then the re2 msg tool will convert it. Then once edits are finished, use the tool too import the edits and hex edit the 0E to 0F and change the extension back to .15. Edit, added screenshot:

I meant how to unpack the files. mes_weapon.msg.15 and others are a bunch of encrypted mess.
Somehow you were able to convert them because both files are completely upside down, basiically all bytes are changed, so you unpacked and repacked them somehow.

I had hopes for someone having access to some source code or an collection of tools, because it is a pain in the *ss to mod most files due to being unable to tell what is what. Was hoping someone had a masterkey or a table for all possible arrays and such.... welp, thanks for the help ^^
