NEW version! 1.0 You can all download it here: www.nexusmods.com/residentevil22019/mods/505/Changes: toggles: F5 turns OFF / ON the shader from the previous version (darkness, vignette, blue tint), and F6 turns ON / OFF another shader, which reduces or eliminates fire in the game (and the glare made by it),
PS: the shader from F6 also eliminates some fog (check it out,pen15! I don't know if this is the fog you are talking about, maybe it helps)
thank you so much you did it finally i can play the game :)also i get more perfomance than ever thanks

I just want to say this mod is amazing so far, but is there a way to slightly tone down some of the brightness? I'm not talking about the title screen or city, but some of the vending machines are super bright along with one of the rooms in the RPD at the beginning behind the shutter crawlspace (specifically the room with the light switch and ammo by the corpse next to the locker that you push away).

pen15 Thank you for your kind words! Have fun playing the game!
Thanks. I only managed to disable the shader completely, so I can't really provide a way to fine-tune the effect. However, starting with the latest version (1.0) above, I introduced toggle keys (ON/OFF) and another shader which you can disable with F6, which might help with visibility in SOME areas (especially where there is fire). If the brightness is still too much, you can re-enable the main shader in this mod with F5.
So... in other words, when the game starts, it starts with: - F5 ON and F6 OFF (the default mode with the mod)
When you go to a bright room, try F6 ON to reduce fire. This means you get to this configuration:
- F5 ON and F6 ON
If it still doesn't help, you can press F6 again to turn fire and fog back on, and then F5 to re-enable the main shader. So you get to: -F5 OFF and F6 OFF (the default mode of the game without the mod)
After you exit the bright room, just press F5 again and you return to the initial settings.
You can try playing with F5 and F6 in the main menu to see what happens with the background.

Hi! I'm glad that you started to play with 3dmigoto and found an even better setup. If I disable the last shader (8a7fc92880b022be), it actually somehow breaks the one in my mod, I can't explain why. Maybe an error of some sort and the whole thing gets discarded.
With all the others disabled, I think it looks good in some rooms, but it may take away too much in others (I mean shadows, reflections, etc.) and it may look weird in some situations. I saw cabinets which were full black, darker than without all the shaders disabled. I didn't have much time to test, though.
As for 2930719a124c6175 (the one which fills all the walls and floors with tons of blood), I was actually thinking about using it myself, but... the same reason: I didn't have enough time to test it and include it in my mod yet. I'll do that when I can.
Also, I found that Using this mod (RE IMMERSION) for ReShade: improved graphics a lot: no blur in the background, more contrast, etc. but it does seem to take its toll on performance sometimes.
Here's a comparison pic of how it looks: TOP: game default MIDDLE: my mod enabled and flashlight disabled BOTTOM: my mod enabled and flashlight disabled, along with running ReShade with Colourfulness for more colour saturation and the RE Immersion Mod
The pic hosting site seems to reduce quality, because I also use Colourfulness in ReShade, but in the pic the red is more washed away.
Anyway, we've reached far away from the ugly defaults
PS: As for the upcoming bloodstain removal feature, it only really cleans up dirty hallways like this:

PS: As for the upcoming bloodstain removal feature, it only really cleans up dirty hallways like this: i removed everything all the effects like water, air, brains, particles, and a bunch of stuff also the hull shader, domain shader, compute shaders to make the game more dark with your mod it works if you search with the hunter mode you will able to find the hash that your mod use in a different hash.you can make the game more darker if you wanna you have to disable a compute shader, the hull, and the domain shader. and make the game more clear 62ee6ae080d1acb1 or 0432c63bbd9f6fa2,those 2 for sure but i dont remember which one from those 2 but it makes the game more pretty with your mode also makes the game clear.if you wanna more performance without lag try to disable the hull shader and the domain shader.just combine in the hunter mode in the game those buttons . from numpad with7 and . from numpad with / and save them and disable them.i get more clear game after removing this without the blur effect.it also reduces the taa.7aa74c418299026a is the hull shader, and a178fae99e5145ed is the domain.if you try those you will see huge performance and a more clear game with reduced taa. :)i run the game at 70 fps .

pen15: I just bought a "new" graphics card (actually a refurbished RX 470 for only around 70€), and my PC isn't so potato anymore... I was able to change the settings way up, and the game looks better Since the mod is actually working, I'm wondering if the thread title could be changed by an admin, in order to remove "request" from it. Or if I should create a new thread, so that people wouldn't skip this one... Hmmm...
