Unrelated but is there any way to fix the horribly pixelated Screen Space Reflections? Whenever there are reflective surfaces like on police station walls or water puddles? I'm considering turning them off because they're so blocky and immersion breaking. Yeah, and they seem to render at 15 fps too, regardless of the framerate you're playing with (30, 60 or variable)... EDIT: My mistake, it's unrelated to SSR, I talk about the normal reflections (because it occurs even with SSR disabled), for exemple the lights reflected in water puddles.

Yeah this is what i'm referring to: Apparently the SSR quality gets worse the higher resolution you use. That's just poor implementation and has to be fixed.

The game won't load for me after hexediting the .exe and adjusting the line mentioned in the OP. Did I miss something?
Edit: Okay, nvm, fixed it by renaming the .exe

Can someone upload an edited exe file of this? I don't know how to hex edit.
2. Open re2.exe with HxD hex editor.
3. Use the find feature "CTRL+F" and then go to "search for hex values" tab.
4. There paste the hex code that you have to replace which is mentioned in the first post. Press enter.
5. The hex code will be highlighted now. Don't touch it.
6. Come back the the first post of this thread and then copy the new hex value that you need to replace the old one with.
7. Go back to HxD hex editor where the old hex value is already highlighted. Press CTRL+V to paste and replace the highlighted hex value.
8. Save and close the editor.
thank you so much

Looks like this needs to be updated again. RE2 got an update yesterday and the hex value in the opening post can not be found.

I've updated the offsets and code to be compatible with the lastest version of the game.

Thank you very much, I couldn't play with low framerate zombies again. Anyone knows what this patch modifies anyway?

As you may know, the game updates the zombies at distance less frequently (probably to save CPU time).
I spent an entire afternoon attempting to figure how to disable this, so I thought I'd share. Please note that I've not tested this extensively. Don't blame me if the game breaks as a result of this.
EDIT: Updated the offset/instructions for the latest update (as of April 24, 2019). This only works for this latest updated. I'm not interested in making it work in older or cracked versions.
Open the .exe with an hex editor and at replace the following at 0x1B36BF0:
E9 AB EC AC 0C CC CC CC
With:
45 31 C0 E9 A8 EC AC 0C
Dude, my game version is 1.02 and you code not found in HEX. Because your code for last version game 1.04 Do you know what code for version 1.02 of the game?
