Hey guys! welcome to my personal topic for REV1, i was doing some research and i finally was able to port the rig straight from RE5, and the results seems pretty cool, ignoring the original jill texture and the headless model sheva look's really well rigged, im shocked, and if this works as i expect it, i can transfer outfits from all RE games to all MT Framework RE games! nurse rebecca on REHD, jill casual to RE0, claire REV2 to RE6, etc etc.. so if i get good results i can write down a guide, so we can all do this and the modding will highly improve!

PS / Although, if you say that this is a complete transfer, I would not refrain to seeing male characters from you too. For example, Chris and Leon from RE6 to RE5 and etc.

indeed, my jill battlesuit will need an update, same as my excella and my REHD Jill, now that i can preview the animations in max the work is more specific, i don't have to spend hours fixing unbroken stuff, i can just go and see the exact point that is breaking the mod, but i noticed that re5 bones can't be used in REV1 since the shoulders are structured in a different way, that causes the handgun animation to look extremely sharp, but it does gives you an oustanding base, and it kept all the facials untouched. Once you get used to this stuff you can make huge mods in just minutes (speaking of the rigging part that it used to take hours).
she even blinks as she's supposed lol

Wow, it looks incredible. The only thing that bothers me is her eyes. The breaking of light works for them strangely, making them shine and looks a little plastic. Although, I never checked how it works for the original models.

that can be easily replaced with a realistic eye shine, the original models have that, even jill have this plastic eyeball shine, i still have to do some adjust to her broken rig on her shoulders using the handgun, here's an small adjustment to her tones, now she look's like sheva hahaha now i'll fix her necklace and should be good to go, in only 1 day lol, this has to be the coolest way to mod that i have ever used!
I forgot to mention, since excella and rebecca use the same skelleton as sheva, i can easily port them along with all other sheva's outfits, im dying to port sheva Business, i love that model hah

Great Work Felix! I was a bout to ask if re0 to re5 will be possible but main problem i see is the multiple hands that re0 have same with remaster hd oh also you can also transfer enemy characters to right? I will love to have my chris and jill mods from remaster on re5 and re6. what about Devil may cry 4 normal and special edition ?

1 question, how you can manage sheva texture files, since RE:REV use only 4 textures, except Jessica Snow (skin, face, hair, eyelash) Do you replace .mrl file from RE5 too?

A guide could happen, but as the process takes waaay too long on the skelleton replacement i'll have to look for another way to explain every step because if i screw one of them, the whole model will collapse into a bugged ball of polygons lol.
Sobre enemigos de otros juegos, la verdad si se podría hacer, teniendo en cuenta las limitaciónes de las animaciones, pero el importar personajes de juegos similares está genial xD los trajes de rebecca serían un buen comienzo, el traje nurse sería genial o el de RE2. Sobre las manos multiples, no deberían ser un problema, es ahí donde entra la creatividad del modder jajaja

I've been following your threads for a while, Im really curious, can it really be done without 3dsmax ? and possibly straight from xnalaras? did you use something like Hex edits to rename the bones this is reaally amazing and revolutionary in terms of porting stuff! Im really looking forward to seeing how this new method develops. The ports look perfect too. Great job on them!

yup, but i wouldn't count on xnalara's rig, because there are models rigged without an animation system since the artists make their own poses, which means that it'll be easier to use a rig that is based into animations, otherwise you'll get unexpected results like broken skirts, bad articulations and stuff like that
about sheva, she's most likely done i think, and maaan she's beautiful <3

Nope, i had to leave them static for now since rev1 physics sucks, the hair looks like a stick in some ocations and sometimes it deforms the hair terribly, and i used 5 different sets of physics, all of them looked terribly ugly, i even rigged her over jessica to see if she could have some physics but all had the same result
About the necklace, there aren't chest bones at all except for rachel, rev1 is such a basic game speaking of bones structure lol

uuhm, someone is ready for battle! im surprised by how cool the rig can work between multiple games lol, i always wanted sheva FT into REV1, same with Business Sheva and Helena Have to say that i´m really impressed, cause i know very well how hard and time consuming is to do something like that I believe that you ´ll be even more happier to know that not only the rig, but almost everything else can be "shared" between MT Framework games, even a full model with all his, materials ,bones,physics, IK chains, animations,colisions and other small things. I found two ways to do something like that last year, one was complicated and had issues, since i had to use 3Ds Max and those Maliwei scripts to "fix" the job. And that never gave me the complete results i was looking forward The second one, was VERY hard at the start, but got more and more simple after some practice and research and allowed me to do everything without even touch any 3D software,with far more satisfactory results. I´m really curious to see how far you´ll go with this. here are a few samples from what i managed to do:
