Albert 2.0 is done and complete and just needs to be converted over.

Yes I'm sure that Albert has something even much better than his 2.0 up his sleeve. I think he is going to blow all our minds on his next version. what with all the new advancements in technology and graphics capabilities since then. great stuff coming our way indeed.

Well, albert and Cris are working together, I'd imagine they will progress faster together. They are both doing outstanding work.

Yes, that is why it'll take 1-2 years to release. If it was just Cris, it would probably take 5 years.

It would not only take too long to do, but also be pretty pointless when we have the new pack in the works.

No offense to Albert, but the original textures he did were not suited to the game at all. I think even he would admit they didn't really do justice to the games original look.
They looked hi-res but that's about all they looked. The blurry original Capcom textures are far superior to any texture pack that has been made for this game so far. They might be a blurry mess, but they fit the game.
This new pack on the other hand is incredible, but only because it's staying so close to the original look in the process.
