So .. I finally was able to locate the effect responsible for the red eyes in the enemies and disable it without having to delete any textures. Like other brute texture hacks (like the old method of removing the film grain effect) removing textures to disable effects comes at a cost..
By removing effect textures that other effects still use we lose much more. In the case of removing red eye textures we lose many important bloom effects used by lights in the game. With this new method of actually editing the effect with the textures intact, we will not see any other effects negatively affected.
I never would have been able to do this without Albert's expertise and these great tools by Son of Persia. I will now recommend this to @raz0r for a feature for his next trainer release and then finally we can say goodbye to the old texture hack method!
