So outside of Fixed Cameras the other modding idea I'm extremely curious about and have a strong desire for is music. RE2 Remake has thus far thrown out a lot of the old tracks and outright replaced many of the memorable themes, and while they do have a OST swap function it swaps it out with the original OST and not a newly arranged one.
I'm curious.... with the ability to swap an OST do you all think it may be easier to mod a different OST into the game? There's so many good redone RE2 tracks out there that could find their own in RE2Remake in the form of modding. Any thoughts?

there is literally gonna be an option to have old OTS in the game so this wont be even needed XD and also We dont even know if ti haves DENOVO or not (probably will) WHICH is hard to mod considering RE7 also was like that and no one NO ONE modded it xD soooo just wait till it comes out

You read my original post right? I said it's the original OST not a re-arranged one. I don't wanna listen to the OST from the 90's applied to a modern game....it probably won't mix well. That's why I'm curious if something like this has been done before. It'd be cool to hear a re-arranged version of the original games music. Maybe the OST swap will make it easier to mod if so.
Also I thought DENOVO was in RE2?

I really hope that this is gonna be something possible. I'm doing more and more soundtrack remake and have now the goal to do the entire OST that could easily be implemented as a mod ... But I don't know, I don't have enough knowledge into this...
Let say this is possible to swap music and stuff. Do you think that this is possible to create kind of layers of music, to do an adaptive music ? (music that change depending on the events)
Let me know if any of you guys got news about the possibility of doing something about it...

Damn for the first thing i was hoping menu, inventory management/item pickup classic sounds. If is moddable, i hope is not a problem to find those sounds or convert.

heard nothing yet about custom music mods,
@ ReiKaz, those sounds you speak of are included with original version soundtrack swap...

I'm glad this thread exists because I want to replace the Mr. X theme with X Gon' Give It To Ya by DMX, I'm hoping that becomes possible soon.

Ok so, there might be a way to swap the original soundtrack files once the PAK extractor comes out in a few days for the full game.
The folder for the PAK file is 920567

If someone got information about this... Let me know, I'm working on all the soundtracks and I wonder if that's possible to create adaptive soundtrack as layer depending on events, so it evolves if you're more or less far from a monster, or if the boss goes down 50% life or phase 2... (I don't have the game yet so I don't know how it's been implemented with the new soundtrack)...

I think it'd actually be awesome to replace the classic tracks dlc with their remastered version found in Darkside Chronicles. I loved that music.
