V1.1 - Fixed Billy's tank top colour & added button swap version (LB>LT)
WHAT IS THIS MOD?
Just a small mod to change the character's portraits in the inventory.
I wanted to do something similar to the PS1-era games. That's why I decided to use official renders to replace those fugly faces in the inventory. I'm not 100% sure, but the renders used from this mod look like Japanese artist Shinkiro's style. I had to edit Billy a little though to add the chain of his dog tag and his tank top since I could only use this picture as a base. I really wanted to keep the same style of illustrations/drawings for all the characters instead of 3D models or stuff made by another artist.
This mod should work with every language available in the European version of the game.
NOTE: If you use the button swap version (LT written instead of LB), I advise you to download "Classic Buttons Configuration" for more coherence.
HOW TO USE IT?
It is advised to use FluffyQuack's Mod Manager for more convenience. Simply put the .rar folder in the Mod Manager so you can easily activate/deactivate the reskin at will. More info on how to use the manager here.
If you don't use the Mod Manager, simply copy the "nativePC" folder located inside the .rar folder of the reskin you want to use and paste it in the game's directory (should be Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > Resident Evil 0). Don't forget to make a backup copy of the original files in case you'd like to delete the mod. This mod should work with every language available in the European version of the game. Also, if you've already unlocked Wesker mode, feel free to share a screen cap of the inventory (that would be in fact much appreciated haha).
Only one thing I could recommend. On Billy's shirt, the right side (our left) seems a little to raised up. Makes it seem like he has a thick purple vest on compared to the left side.
Other than that, I like it a lot. I'm gonna use it.
Glad you like it!
Regarding Billy's arm, his right shoulder is indeed raised up and that's actually normal. The picture I used as reference had him being in some sort of combat stance (with his hands raised) and I made sure that the tank top was perfectly aligned with the original outfit.
You're probably getting that impression because the picture is tiny in the inventory thus making it hard to see the details. Besides, the fact that the background is dark with scanlines/static effects and that his hair are black and covering a part of the tank top might not help to realise it.
