[48:9] [32:9] Ultrawide and multimonitor fixed in demo. Hopefully the full game can be fixed as well and Capcom wouldn't screw it with updates. Also, many people are saying High textures 1 GB and 8 GB doesn't make any difference. But it actually does have some difference: Many people are saying they are suffering from random stutters especially in the weapons locker keycard room. This happens due to lack of enough VRAM. So if you set textures to High 8GB or something that exceeds your VRAM capacity, then you will get these random stutters when the game loads new assets. On my 980 Ti, the sweet spot was High 3GB + Shadows High + Shadow Cache on and resolution was 2304x1296 [80% on 2880x1620p]. Shadow cache will eat too much VRAM but gives like 7~12 FPS boost on my pc, so I need it. Now, lets see what's the difference between these 1 GB, 2 GB, etc etc texture settings: While basically they look same on high, you will see that on High 1GB, some assets suffer from ugly low res textures and loads only when you get too close and gets low res again if you look somewhere. The amount of time it takes to become high res depends on our storage drive speed. I found High 3 GB to be less intrusive as most of the textures loaded fast enough for me to not notice it. Too bad that means I can't use max shadows but it was a good compromise. Unless you got less than 4 GB VRAM, I suggest using atleast High 2GB as that would make the textures acceptable most of the time. Also, some people are complaining about washed out picture. Try fiddling with the brightness settings in the game. Also, on old ass monitors like mine, switching to Rec 709 instead of sRGB gave a better contrast picture.

So from the demo and impressions, it seems the ultimate way to enable shit-yourself mode is:
1) Disable music
2) Play on hard mode
3) Turn off HUD.

I wonder if it will be available from the start. I hope it's like RE7's madhouse in that it remixes item locations and enemy encounters.

Oh I'm SO playing this in hard difficulty! Sounds to me like the actual "Hard" mode is pretty much Classic Resident Evil mode with the no checkpoints and limited ink ribbon only saves, kinda wish the main game had just did this rather than making it "hard" mode but I understand that Capcom really wants to appeal to the casual masses and a lot of casual fans main gripe with the older games (besides tank controls) is the fact that you only have limited saves and constantly have to worry about being killed and starting from wherever you saved from and while most classic fans (such as myself) loved this aspect since it added to the survival horror I can still understand why Capcom would not make that a standard for todays gamer who don't like that.

I hope someone can mod out the black faded border that shows as you increase the FOV. Feels like tunnel vision.

There's a cutscene fix for ultrawide resolutions on WSGF, don't know if there's anything to help with the FOV though.

But I guess you already tried that? I really hope there a Nintendo switch version eventually. I'd really love to play RE2 on the go Also I'm so hyped I have the game pre-loaded on Xbox and its gonna be torturous waiting till friday Given how optimized this game is, it might be able to run on switch at at least 640x360 in interlaced mode with TAA.

IF Capcom wants to put some work and effort
Remember how RE4 was "exclusive"?
They did a fine job with Rev2 and also Remake, Zer0 and 4 are coming aswell So, do not lose hope
