This method of modding is surprisingly easy. Heres an attempt I did today.  It's by no means perfect, It was mainly just a quick test I did. But I'm sure with enough patience it could be great. (REV2 has a few more bones in the facial area then RE5 so, they went a little crazy) Heres another Very quick and rushed attempt.

I found some stuff that might help you, Rev1 have the exact quantity of bones to rig for re5 so if you preview the animations of REV1 instead of the ones from Re5 (which uses a more complicated skelleton, ik links, and weird shoulders and knee's rotations that can't be previewed) you can speed up the process a lot more, i think now the heaviest part will be re-mapping the textures to fit into a single one.

Hi guys, sorry for double posting, it's been a while since i have posted something on my wip post, i did some major changes on jill cowgirl, i like her style with a skirt, also i followed the recomendations for her breasts and edited her shape, now they look cool i think, this's a halloween pack im preparing, i'll try to get some work on the guys aswell.

This new method looks amazing!! sorry i haven't worked that much on my mods, i've been dealing with some personal stuff and my emotions are a mess, but you know id's love to make a REV2 Claire port over sheva, actually im gonna aim for that already ported her re2 outfit, so i need to do her TerraSave/Sniper/Snow/Rodeo outfits, with the flexibility from re5 it'll be no big deal besides the alpha issues that can be avoided easily inyecting meshes over whoever i wanna mod, and with the tons of materials that re5 uses i don't have to make a single mesh, so the process might speed up a bit, i'll stop working on rev1 for now and i'll focus on this game, since this one use all the other bones like knee's shoulders, forearms and eyebrows that re6/rev2 have and even without those the ports rigging is really nice. by the way since this is gonna be a pack i'll create a new topic with my progress on those, because, ya know, it's Claire and i love my girl hahah.

sorry for double posting, i did some small stuff on Rachel, she look's really good in comparisson with my hand-rigged rachel, anyway, here's how she looks:
i added some bones of course, since rev1 didn't had most of the re5 stuff inside the model, but damn my girl look's really cute, and her MM gives her this leather-like material all over her swimsuit, her hair was hard, i ahd to do tons of divisions and the backface culling didn't helped at all, there are still some issues, but she look's nice i think. she should be uploaded in a few hours, i have to fix her shoulders a bit and should be good to go.
