For those of you who downloaded the Jill BSAA and Jill Battlesuit mods for Mercenaries, I'm sure most of you wished for a special pic in the character selection menu. I had some spare time, so I decided to do it myself.
Here are the files:
Jill BSAA (Costume 1) drive.google.com/open?id=19hpAfuHgglWASF39hqnKdhcm890J8h8c
Jill Battlesuit (Costume 2) drive.google.com/open?id=1jIGZGDyd8L9r_9RJW3x4Q3gQdPG0CSbN
Here are the steps. It's not easy, so read carefully:
- Navigate to your RE6 Installation folder;
- Navigate to the DX9 folder found in the nativePC/arc/DX9 path and copy/paste your Merce.arc wherever you like (Desktop,for example). Honestly, you should make a backup of this file in case something doesn't work right, just to be safe.
- Download the arctool. I uploaded the entire package right here drive.google.com/open?id=1j5wev5a2R4WXs5AacuylKWbEInBhMg8N (thank you FluffyQuack for the tool). Place the folder wherever you like;
- Now, move your Merce.arc file into the pc-re6-extract.bat file, a new folder named "Merce" should be created;
- For the most important part, move the the two files you downloaded at the start (the Jill pics) and move them into the extra folder found in the Merce/data/id/jpn/extra path;
- Return to the arctool folder, delete the Merce.arc and move the Merce folder into the pc-re6-repack.bat , you should now see a new Merce.arc file;
- Move this arc file into the DX9 folder and... you're done! Play the game and see if everything went right!
If you wish for Battlesuit pic for Costume 1 or BSAA pic for Costume 2, you need to change "characters08" into "characters22" and/or viceversa. Simple as that!
Here's a showcase (sorry if I couldn't just upload some images):
A big thanks to Kernelzilla for the Jill BSAA mod and to whoever made the Jill Battlesuit mod (sorry, I don't know the modder's name).
