I thought it was more easy to prevent enemies from disappearing once they were dead, but sadly it isn't. So it only works for classic zombies in Leon's 1st chapter (dogs, shriekers and bloodshots will still continue to disappear...). I will not continue this mod, but feel free to use it in your own mods if you want, you have my permission. Here's the link, enjoy.

Since the newest RE2 update all gibs and other remains like bloodstains disappear in Resident Evil 2 when leaving the room (these things stayed in the original release version even after loading a savegame - all zombies and remains were permanent).
I am looking for a mod to restore not only the ORIGINAL Resident Evil 2 release version quality to enhance the gore effects to Dead Space quality with all undead remains and their limbs staying permanently in the rooms - but also to make a few of the long gone zombies randomly reanimate after a very long time, for example after an hour. (Similar to the Resident Evil 1 Remake V-acts zombies.)
This would add some new surprise enemies, make the game waaay more creepy because one can never be sure which zombie is really dead and which one isn`t. It would add some extra shockers and an extra challenge and more pressure and feeling of doom and dread when Mr. X appears and a few long dead zombies suddenly start to rise again or come crawling with gnashing teeth ;=

Interesting idea. Now if someone could remove the camera pulls, allow the "sleeper" zombies to be attacked before certain events and maybe add more enemies into campaign? I know that removal of the camera pulls is at least possible since one of my friends managed to do it. He was able to enable the "sleeping" zombies as well.
