We do this for fun not fame.
We do it because we love RE4 and want to see it look better.
Opinions are valid, but there is no need to be so degrading of someones hard work.

There should be a little more quality control or at least honesty though so this website becomes a go-to for quality mods. The last iteration had kind of a deserved bad rep for being filled with. well, less than stellar efforts. All for praising hard work, but only if it's a good result too. That's all. I just personally don't get why anyone would want RE4 scrubbed of all surface detail, that's not an improvement, that's a huge cosmetic different that drastically changes the atmosphere (and sort of doesn't make sense either).
The best texture mods reproduce the original textures vibe and keep in close with the existing style, enhancing the game, not giving it a total makeover.
I mean, what that guy made is fine, as long as he doesn't call it an HD texture pack, and calls it something like 'Smooth surface texture mod'.

LoL but guys, it's a great start?  and yes i do agree a HD TP should keep the original art style but in much higher res, anyways it's great work he has done and it must have been tedious, we can always see it as an alternative HD Texture Pack Anyway, keep up the good work!
