Here's my second release: Very Hard Mod. This mod currently doubles all common enemies where possible. Please note this mod is a beta and is not a finished product. I have played up until the courtyard on Normal difficulty without any problems so if anyone plays beyond that and encounters any problems please let me know. Preferably if you can tell me what room caused the fault and what difficulty you are playing on that would be helpful.Enjoy and remember it's rude to bring an infinite ammo gun to a survival horror party! Version 0.1: www.mediafire.com/file/9rkwgleg38vc8zp/Very_Hard_Mod_V0.1.zipVersion 0.2 (With added enemy files to prevent any potential error messages, this version is recommended over 0.1) www.mediafire.com/file/49t14dbysb16nfj/Very%20Hard%20Mod%20V0.2.zip

Just started a run to see what it's like. Having a Crimson Head up and walking around in the arrow hallway was a bit of a surprise, although I suppose there's not a good way to handle the fact that the one on the floor doesn't get up initially.

Exactly. I thought about not doubling that zombie but thought it was a nice surprise. The same happened with the crypt area. A crimson version of the fat zombie was lurking at the bottom of the steps which was a bit of a surprise however if you killed him the one in the coffin then did not appear. I took this area out of the mod but may readd it if I can fix this.

I have played it on hard, and its indeed a very good mod! I'm looking forward when its finished. Maybe (I'm not a experienced modder, but I post the ideas anyway.) is to add a tyrant in some rooms, up the damage/health of bosses a bit, or add hunters in later stages in more rooms. I remember on psx version, capcom used them a lot more. Shame they lessened their threat so much. But as i said, all in all, its very well done!

Thanks. How far have you played to?
I'm still learning what can and can't be done. At the moment, only doubling and swapping enemies is possible. I'm going to see if the files I have been editing dictate what variants of enemy (crimson heads or crawling on floor for example) next.
Thanks for your ideas as well.

Mod crashed my game saying it couldn't read the .something file after I got the green arrowhead and I was leaving the room onto the send floor of the dining room. Any thoughts? Great mod idea! Really want to play the game this way!

Mod crashed my game saying it couldn't read the .something file after I got the green arrowhead and I was leaving the room onto the send floor of the dining room. Any thoughts? Great mod idea! Really want to play the game this way! Sorry to hear that. Weird though as it didn't crash while I was testing that room. If you can tell me what file it mentions I may come up with a fix. Failing that however you can go to your game directory and delete "nativePC\arc\room\st02\r202.arc" and reinstate the original file of the same name. The upper dining room just has two zombies in it rather than one, although I don't know if this increases again in hard mode. Just a further update, I have a few extra additions to add so will be releasing a new version soon as well as a new mod...

It's the em10.mod 3 file it happens when your playing it on real survivor mode. Thanks again for this mod! I'm excited to make this mod happen!

Can't check at the moment, but question: Does the mod interact at all with One Dangerous Zombie?

Ok em10 relates to most zombies, it's looking for a file for some reason which it can't find in the respective arc file. The enemy swap mod I released first, I had to extract all the enemy files to the root in order for it to work and I have added these files to this version 0.2 to see if this resolves the problem. New download link in the first post. I still have some other changes to make but I'd like to know if this solves the problem before adding to it. As for what this mod changes, it is all regular enemies which should appear in easy to hard difficulties. I have not messed with the Forest Bomb zombie as I don't have that mode unlocked to test. As for the normal enemies it really is difficult to know which lines define which zombie as there are many more than what you will ever see in the room. I'm guessing each difficulty has it's own definitions however I have recently been able to understand where the type of zombie is defined so I will mess with that in my next mods... Quick question, is there a way to easily unlock everything?

Unless I'm mistaken he was able to figure out how to control the progression of certain zombies into Crimson Heads. I presume that for these particular enemies there were plot triggers that contributed to that. Maybe there's a similar way to make sure the fat zombie only mutates some time *after* the coffin-Crimson Head is killed.

You might want to give the trainer in Fluffy's Mod Manager a try. residentevilmodding.boards.net/thread/507/fluffy-manager-5000-v1-765There are options in the built-in trainer for REmaster that include turning on the unlockables. Or, most of them anyway, including Forest-With-Bombs, Real Survival, Invisible Enemy and so on.
