I´m still wishing to know more about that unnanounced game than anyhting else that are in the near plans. But well, I believe that RE2 Remake will be announce before, maybe this 21 of September with the Tokyo Game Show?
Capcom has announced the mobile game and the RE7 DLCs (plus the Dead Rising 4 for PS4 and MvsC: infinite that would have just been released by then). They must be leaving something for the event, do they?
I´m not too hyped for the RE2 Remake, (Is RE2 again with better graphics and maybe with luck some couple of hours with just extra content to make it 6 hours instead of 4h?) But at least, I haven´t got it as rejected as RE7. I liked RE2 so I think I may like the remake as well.

Theres usually 3-4 years inbetween numbered title releases.

Nop.  my best excitement for those 2 games, is knowing that they are the ending of RE7 and after them, there will come new RE games. End of Zoe is totally indiferent to me, and the Not a Hero I though it would generate me more interest, but at this point, the only what I hope is that it keeps being a small isolated history that could keep being ignored in the main story. (Specially, after watching Chris in RE: Vendetta, the Weirdfield just feel too out for me, and if the gameplay per se was not attracting me... ). I´m dying to know about future RE games, but between the Quiet period and the current Capcom announcements, it looks like that nothing will be told before Christmas. (I´m more interested for DR4 as I have not played yet, but I´m thinking to buy it in Chrismas when it gets those planned updates, hopefully there comes any offert ¿?).

"Excited" is a bit of a strong word, more like "moderately more interested in".
Anyway, I fear RE is going the way of DMC and Megaman; stuck to re-releases and crossovers, because we haven't heard anything new in ages.
