Here's my first version of an enemy swap mod. It currently changes most enemies in the mansion only. I haven't gone too extravagant with the changes, a lot of them subtle but work well. I have kept many of the key enemies untouched so don't expect anything too drastic. It should affect all difficulty levels but have only tested it on normal.
This is my first release and is really an experiment of what can and can't be done. I just thought seeing as no one else has shared their results it would be good to do so.
I'm planning more in the future such as number of enemies and seeing what else is possible so wait and see.
Any feedback would be appreciated and remember to back your game/files up before applying. Also apologies if your game does crash at any point, I have tested it without experiencing any serious problems.
P.P.S Ultimately I want to be able to item swap as well. I am looking into it and haven't made any progress other than having a theory on what file dictates item location and what the item numbers are. If anyone wants to help crack it with me we could open a WIP thread to discuss it. I would love the help as this would then realise the dream of actually being able to make a fully fledged arrange mode.
That was intentional, however I can fix it if you want me to. I was reluctant to change that enemy because anything other than a dog makes it look stupid. I want to keep the integrity of the game but then I thought seeing as it's still part experimental and an optional enemy I would have some fun with it.
The sound effect issue is a problem, I found that certain enemies in certain stages do not use their sounds and instead use the ones from the original enemy. This is also something I will look into more, I just wanted to get this out there for now and release improved mods in the future.
Thanks for playing and thanks also for the list. It does actually differ slightly from what I thought it was so this should help. If you're interested I will give you an update on my progress in the next few days.

alphaz: V Unfortunately, the RE7 Chris we see in RE7 is just a video. He cannot be modded because his model is not in the files. The RE7 Chris model we do have was ripped from RE2, strangely enough

liviad34d: alphaz Oh, well that sucks. I thought there were some cut scenes. I'll have to play it again. The one I saw for re2 or 3 of the re7 Chris looked good though.

Adngel: johnnyfromthe80s, importing a character into a game, requires you rig that character into the bones structure that uses that game, so if you have an already rigged model in fbx, unless they were using the game's skeleton, you will have to re-do it.
