Hi, I'm super new to the community, I just started modding a few days ago. I've been playing with the Hunk mod by MarCosRC ( great mod!!). Although most people like the original voice of Hunk, I decided to "update" Hunk's voice to his voices in RE Revelations since I prefer that version. So I did some work (extracting the XMB file, replacing the WAVs, etc...) and replaced his RE4 action/damage/death sounds with the RE Rev version. Now, the game works fine and I can hear the new voices, but I noticed that the volume of the new voices are much lower than the other sounds, and as a result they sometimes get covered up by other sounds. But I'm sure the volume of the voice files are the same as the original files, so how can I fix this problem? I know it's such a minor issue, but it's bothering me enough to make a post. Thanks!

first make sure the files are normalized to 0. If this is not loud enough you will need to apply compression to the files so that they are louder. 3.1 ratio should work with a gain normalization. =)

Thanks for the suggestion! I went and tried normalizing, and it did increase the volume but not by much. I also tried compressing, but it actually decreased the volume. I just decided to manually amplify the files, and it kind of worked. I guess I should've just done that in the first place. lol. Thank you for the help!!

No worries dude. Compression is a tricky thing that takes a little while to get used to but you can get a lot of amplification out of it ...
