I'm willing to participate with any expert PC/360/PS3 to try to learn more about this game. My goal is to make PC modding possible to the PS3 but baby steps (I've been able to make "ISO" mods or PC mods work with games that use the unreal engine and I want to see if I can move my knowledge over to RE5). So far I've managed to successfully swap models with a PS3 Save Editor made by Dark Nacho and it works to certain degrees. Midnight Wesker seems to crash the game, BSAA Jill works perfectly, Battlesuit Jill has no face on cutscenes, STARS Wesker works but crashes on cutscenes (I've yet to test out Irving, Josh, Excella, and Rebecca). I have the regular version and am using CFW (duh). I've actually tried taking a modded arc file from the PC, unpacking it with the PC batch and repacking it with the ps3 batch but it crashes and I'm guessing it's bc files are different but anyways to the point: What are the necessary files needed in a characters arcs to appear in cutscenes? At the very least right now I'd like to get Jill's face to show up on cutscenes and we can move on from there.

im pretty sure this site dont support ps3 or xbox 360 modding only pc but i dont know

Sorry, this is the best i was able to find, there's no ps3 Resident Evil modding forum that I've been able to find and even then most are just hex edit hacks on the save, I'm trying to branch beyond that bc I did the "impossible" for 3 games and I wanna see where I can go with this one.
I know that the PC mod for character swapping is modifying the respective arc files for Chris and Sheva costumes but what I did was mod the addresses on the save so STARS Wesker and Battlesuit Jill's arcs are what actually are being loaded into gameplay. I noticed BSAA Jill works 100% well and in cutscenes as well as has a face, what would I be looking for in her arc to put over to battlesuit jill to get her face to appear (could even look into the boss Jill's arc to get her face so it'd match). Can someone point me to the right direction?

I unpacked evfpl01, uPl02JillCos1, and uPl02JillCos2, I went into the pawn/pl directory of both Jill costumes and got the folder containing the models (pl02 @cos1 and pl14 @cos2), placed them into the pawn/pl directory of evfpl01, repacked it and got Jill Battlesuit to work in a cutscene where it originally crashed (cry for help event). The scenes on forward didn't crash as well (she was headless but it's progress)! I tried doing the same with both Wesker costumes and evfpl00 however the game crashes upon a cutscene. What am I doing wrong? If nothing's wrong, what am I missing?

I fixed Jill battlesuit costume to display her head so she's not headless anymore (yay). Is there a way to display her facial animation without having to edit every single event? I can't just edit and replace sheva's evfpl01.arc bc I didn't model swap her arc with jill's, I did it thru memory. I don't want to add a p14 folder on every event arc, is there way around this bc I remember reading about it somewhere but I can't remember.

Know forget about it, Ima pause on that one, I just want STARS Wesker to not crash the game in cutscenes. What did Snipz add to STARS Wesker in the Gold Edition PC - Model Swap Patch, the readme doesn't elaborate on what files he added. I checked it and it's the same files already in the p16 folder and even opened the tex files as dds files. All I know is the files are bigger in size.

i can't really tell what your problem is, the only thing i know that Wesker S.T.A.R.S. sometimes need files for his Samurai Edge (Wp29). The same with Wesker Midnight and the H&K P8 (Wp10) This is all i could think of right now if you not already have that files extracted.

Well I tried adding that into his arc by making a wp folder and placing wp29 in there repacking it. Loads just fine and he plays but still crashes in cutscenes. I just get a black screen. I don't know what's up bc he plays in the Chainsaw Majini scene with the exception of being headless.

Got STARS Wesker to work on scenes by adding Samurai Edge files, annoying bc I had to do this to EVERY cutscene (61 -_-). There are still some cutscenes where the game crashes, the first one being ev117_10.arc (stage 1-2 A piece of the Puzzle). Anyone know what could be causing this?
