Krauser Arrows in Main Game mod Resident Evil 4 UHD Well, i think it is a first for RE4UHD...So it has been a few weeks that I have been working on getting the game to spawn arrows instead of gun ammo for those of us who like to play the game with a Krauser mod. I finally figured out how to replace the ammo in most areas of the game. Yes friends, I have successfully modified the items that are left in cases and in various locations throughout the game! What i have not figured out is how to change the items that spawn after killing an enemy, but it is my hope to figure this out soon. One present setback of this mod is that we can not command Ashley, but I am researching how this might be possible, as this problem was fixed for the 2007 version of RE4 many years ago by the Master Wilsonso. I have completed the mod now for the entire Village section of the game, and will be working on the Castle & Island sections in the weeks ahead. I am still in beta stage as I need to really figure out the number of arrows to use. We dont want too many arrows spawning throughout the game, and we definitely don't want not enough! The mod itself is quite small in size, and will be easy to install. Presently I am seeking help with distribution methods, particularly someone who can help write a script that will come with the mod to help users install with ease. I am also looking for testers of the mod, so please PM me if you are interested in trying this out or helping with an install script! When this mod is finally released it will come with another mod to enable Krauser in Main Game without a trainer. Yes friends, all things are possible! After this mod is complete I may also create an Ada Bowgun-Bolts in Main Game mod.. it will be the same idea, but users will get to play the main game with Ada and pick up her bowgun ammo throughout the game. The Kyoka-Krauser model seen in the video is one I ported from 2007 version by David Flores, which is now available as a download for RE4UHD HERE. You can also download this model for Leon that I made HERE. The model in the video is using the ashley-krauser-female-basic-pack developed by the Master Modder 3getu841. I think it's not possible to alter the stuff dropped out of the enemies (as long as i'm here i havent seen anyone else doing this, not even on 2007 ubisoft version).
It would be nice if someone could manage to find it out.
Question: did you make the re-colour for the bow?

there are people doing this on 2007.. last 3 years than this mod.. but great work port to UHD..

It would be nice if someone could manage to find it out. Question: did you make the re-colour for the bow? There has to be a way to alter this, we just dont know how YET.. As for the re-colour for the bow, yes that was me, but it was 3getu841 who resized the bow.

Spawning arrows for enemy drops is not impossible,but it is really unnecessary in this case - I think. Krauser is too strong for such a lot of arrows...
However,if you are still into that modding... It will be more complicated than normal to calculate the value you have to change.Search for the value inside Mercenaries's spawn files,you will find it!!!

Spawning arrows for enemy drops is not impossible,but it is really unnecessary in this case - I think. Krauser is too strong for such a lot of arrows... However,if you are still into that modding... It will be more complicated than normal to calculate the value you have to change.Search for the value inside Mercenaries's spawn files,you will find it!!! Yeah, but its annoying to have gun ammo spawn all over the place when you dont need it. It would be better to have either zero ammo drops, or at least small arrow drops from enemies, like 1 arrow to replace the arrow that you used to kill the enemy. The data that determines enemy drops is not actually in the ITA file, except for a couple of exceptions, like the crow in r100 and the chainsaw guy in r101. Those are what i call 'static' drops, meaning their drop is always the same item. These are the only items I have been able to edit so far; the items that never change either by enemy drop or static items in boxes. I will need to look in other files, but not even sure where to look. I have reached out to a few modders form 2007 version, and waiting to hear back.

I have reached out to a few modders form 2007 version, and waiting to hear back. first of all you are awesome and i love your ideas so much i'm truly saying this and i wish i knew the correct file to help you but honestly capcom disappointed me by anouncing re4 with a uhd tag and releasing it based and powered by an awful limited engine (too old actually) so i didn't touch this version to make a mod for it therefore i don't know the uhd files but as i can see, you have planed to make it (uhd) valuable , and i'm glad to hear that, sounds awesome... --------------------------------------------- about " the items that spawn after killing an enemy" as i know re4 is scripted for handling and providing the weapons' ammo by the inventory list so if the inventory is including magnum , riffle and shotgun then engine is loading the necessary object (loading the dedicated object, (in this case: bullets)) (and also it's one of my favorite tricks to earn ptas during the gameplay! ) so technically if you have picked up a special gun, engine will support your needs (indeed they used this method to keeping the required memory lower) but they had also used some sort of tag for weapons too (classified as a list in a dedicated file or...) to preventing of an unwanted randomized spawn i mean, something like this: (just as a guess and exampling) wep01 ........ pl0a wep02 ........ pl0a ... wep48 ........ pl18 so i think you should first check the wep files' headers out in a hex editor to finding differences (or maybe they have listed the assigned weps in the pl_xx files) i mean comparing the leon's weps files with krauser's looking for a pl_xx tag in wep files or looking for a wep_xx tag in pl files but if they had used a specific file , so that will makes it harder to find out by the way i think it is possible to do hard to find out but possible

yes dude this is the kind of response I need. I need new ideas! I have so many ideas and mods all related to getting Krauser in game like Leon. It will happen. I am getting closer each day. Thank you for your input, please stay close to me, as I will need your help!

However,you can set the rate for items you would like to drop to make it appear more or less usual. If you do understand Japanese,it will be easier because there is a tool allow you to do that called "HackKrauser" from this page monkeykong4.web.fc2.comIt is not very perfect but it helps for both random box & drop item... If you want to make it perfect,try to do it manually... Random box items located in stage files only but random drop items are different.The hint for that replacement is related to combination between stage item files & inventory files.Random replacement might takes you much of time but i hope you'll find it 👍

so i think you should first check the wep files' headers out in a hex editor to finding differences (or maybe they have listed the assigned weps in the pl_xx files) when you say check the headers of the file, so you mean the entire udas file or teh bin files stored inside the udas? no the udas format type is just for compressing and keeping the files more managed so no there is nothing to find in udas type itself unpack them and take a look at files inside it but also i'm not talking about bin files because those are just including the objects poly data (most likely) i was talking about checking other files in the packages i can't remember very well but i think there were some unknown files in packages which i couldn't get that what exactly they are please forgive me, because i can't remember the file format and unfortunately unpacker isnt working on my system anymore and i have to reinstall my windows which i can't reinstall it right now (for some reasons) (i have a bad internet connection, low speed , ultra low upload speed, and awful ping so most of servers refusing my connection including onedrive mega yadisk youtube vimeo... and even imgur! just mediafire is gentle to my connection! two month ago i asked a reupload of someone and he gave me a virus instead! and... never mind doesn't matter)but another guess there is a chance that they have used rel files inside the rel folder for it so check them out before checking the udas packages

i think a saw an old japanese mod video where enemies dropped arrows too.....the video is not avaible anymore on yt but i think is definetely possible. also we should swap story mode stage motions like climb ladder...jump windows etc to those of SW if you are using a female krauser. it's not required of course, just an addition. i think 3getu841 knows how to do that and which are the file's names to swap
