Why not? I've been looking for quite some time for the artworks used in the result screens, for both characters with every costume. I'd really appreciate it if you can provide the files for these

can you guys tell me which tools you are using to extract textures from TEX files? Always ARCtool , once you obtained TEX files , you just need to drag and drop a TEX file on app of ARCtool (icon with gears) and immediately will be created a corresponding DDS file by your TEX file , once you have edited DDS one , you can repeat same process in reverse to obtain TEX file Edited. Also there are other methods to use this app , i use this one because simpler.

Hey thanks for the reply, I didn't have access to all my files. Now that I know how to do this im wondering something. When trying to get all teh textures from a stage (for this example Ill use r101): I dont see that many textures that are available in r101\model\ido---> there are 3 sub-folders with about 3 textures each, but I know form looking at the original Umbrella Chronicles files that this room has at least 97 textures. Where can I find all of these room textures in the ARC archives? Also wondering what the different file name types are associated with: ido123_00_BM.tex ido123_00_MM.tex ido123_00_NM.texit seems these are bump or opacity files for the main texture. and what the MOD files are for? Cheers!

REmaster uses pre-rendered backgrounds (except for 2 rooms) so you're not gonna find stage textures like in Umbrella Chronicles. You're only gonna find specific models that are animated or can be interacted with, like the statue you push in the dining room (2F) to get the blue gemstone or the ceiling in room 115. Everything else is part of the pre-rendered background. If I remember correctly, room 101 only has 3 models (2 windows and a door). This is how it works in classic RE games: You can see the pre-rendered background and the red geometry is simply collision geometry that's obviously invisible ingame.

ok yep I get it now. I was able to get the collision maps exported ok. I was hoping to get some of those better looking HD textures, but I guess its all pre rendered. Thanks!

Try extracting rooms 10b and 112. Those are the only full 3D rooms in the game. Capcom actually considered re-rendering the backgrounds to fit 16:9 aspect ratio but decided against it because it would allow players to see more of the background than originally intended and could also result in the characters themselves taking up less real estate on the screen which could in turn lessen the sense of immediacy and immersion.

Out of curiosity, where are the collision maps located? example of a path.. Extract room with ARC tool---->\R101\r101\room\shd\st01\r101 and similarly with other rooms numbers. The MOD file is what you are after.

Thanks! Looks like I've imported these before. A couple years ago I was poking around with the backgrounds, and one thing I discovered is that these might only be for generating shadows (see: residentevilmodding.boards.net/post/63139/thread). Had to find an older version of Noesis on my computer with the RE6 plugin and change the .mod extension to .re6pc, but I was able to open it up after that, and these are still definitely useful for general layouts of the rooms and such.

Interesting way this game was made. I am only mastering re4uhd for now, mostly working on stage mods with some beta tools that Son of Persia is developing.
My goal with extracting the stage textures was to use them in conjunction with the Umbrella Chronicles stage models to import them into RE4UHD but to my dismay it turns out there are no such textures to extract.
In an incredible project the master modder Infernal was able to remake RE Remaster using the 2007 Ubisoft engine of RE4 and it is my hope to follow in his footsteps and do the same thing using the RE4UHD engine. It's going to take a lot of work though as there is all the scaling of models, renaming of texture files, lighting and effects and then doing all the enemy data. I don't know how long it took infernal to do but I could imagine well over a year from now I will still be working on this.
