Not to say that I am shocked, but once again disappointed. The main part of the series has always adhere to the same view of the characters or close to it and I thought it would never happen there as cardinally change the design. But now, I'm really worried about Remake 2, because we can get anything.
Now when i playing in PE games, most of my reactions like What the hell? I do get not from an unexpected plot twist, but from the fact that I just can not recognize a character, because they constantly change their design! It's like watching a trilogy of a film, which will be different the actor each time for the same character.

I for one am excited it actually is Chris redfield since he is one of my favorite RE characters, but...why such a drastic model change?
I suppose he...slightly resembles Re5/RE6 chris in the face...kinda...but did he decide to stop using steroids? lol
It's in first person so it's not like we will actually see him anyways, but I just don't get it, why not just take RE6 chris and age him a bit and give him a new outfit..just doesn't make sense to keep drastically changing the appearance of fan favorite characters

I'm less disappointed about the model change than I am of the fact that Chris has apparently done a complete 180 character wise and joined up with Umbrella, a organization that has been established as one he hated very much.
All I'm saying is that Capcom better explain this in a believable and great way otherwise its going to look like a complete nonsensical asspull on Capcom's part to try to add some fail of a "shock value" to the series.
So they have either Vendetta to explain this or RE7 not a hero, otherwise I'm probably going to be pissed at the whole thing lol.

i think it's better for capcom to choose one of these scenarios: 1- a cousin he can be redfield too, and even chris but with having a middle name chris h redfield or cj! redfield  2- an identity thief, hired by company to ruin chris' reputation (ridicule but still better than introducing that guy as the chris) 3- a cloned guy of chris and jill's DNA!  4- just a guy with same name!  5- it is what it is with no excuse! so goodbye logic!!! there is not such a word like that in capcom's dictionary at least show us a tiny screen shot of re2 remake and make a relief for fans then fans are able to take their decision to being hopeful or saying goodbye to franchise!

I think that dude will be Chris in RE7, but I can't avoid reject him. :S Maybe during the gameplay he could sound or behave like him, but still I find hard to avoid the feeling that is a different person with the same name. As when the Tekken live action movie, that come and present characters with the same name of the game fighters, but that are actually different people with different relations, different ages, different combat styles.... He does look like his REmake self though. {image} I don't see him. >.< Also, I started to like Chris in RE: Remake, for his new kind personality, but it was along RE5 when he went growing on me, his new look make him different more unique and all the dramatization, for me he made the step from avatar to character. So now this slim dandy with his stretched head and his light tone, is not that hero that I have been loving and going with on his adventures along these years. O_ò Maybe it's not very rational, but, that's what I'm feeling...  But well, meanwhile here comes too RE Vendetta, even if sometimes Chris looks with an ape face, at least I can identify him as Chris there, so I can focus more in the story and the things it incorporates.
