Post RE7 spoilers in here...

I never thought my funny shitpost of an official track would become relevant again in the series, but it did.

People are going to be mad either way when that DLC drops. Though a friend and myself have a bet about a complete/director's cut version of 7 as we both expect it by now.


The difference was that neither of them were directly shown to be associated with what is considered the 'evils' of the series.

Face model and voice actor changes are pretty much the norm in the series by now, the positioning is not for certain characters.

Would've made more sense and been even more confusing if it was Claire, given REV2 and the post-REV2 merch have her be flagged officially as grey but due to the localization editing - it's only very clear on the JP side. Her new merch (the Club 96 JP exclusive stuff) has both angel and devil patterns, in contrast to previously only angel themes.

All of Chris' merch still retains angel or military, bomber themes in comparison.

And yet, the packaged re-releases still fly through perfectly fine despite that's basically what it is. REV2 and 6 both had 'complete' versions with all extras, so did Bio and Bio 0 HD so it's why it's a bet of if and specifically when we would assume it to be announced and released.

Expensive fan art commissions ($200+) because we both know that's likely something we'd both end up buying with whatever money we would put down as we are trash, a DML/Dragon boxed Claire Redfield 1/6 scale figure or another Bio Hot Toys figure + extra custom 1/6 stuff. Will take a lot of time and effort.

Even if I win, friend will likely still get custom figure related things from me because my friend is awesome in general. And I like doing custom figure things anyway.

People don't seem to realize how frequently the re-releases happen.

I could've made a point and counted how many fucking times they've re-released Street Fighter, Street Fighter II too. I'm probably forgetting things because I know I've not listed the exact number of regional releases but there's only so much I can remember at the moment.

Certainly feels like it at times. Especially with the odd limited edition releases like the weird sample CD things that they occasionally do and call it an anniversary item.

I'd have bought the Demento one as I am trash for that (and there is so little for it), but of course that got ignored because Rockman would sell more. Despite the fanbase also having been repeatedly burned in the past. 

I don't know, I don't get the mentality of "I've been fucked over repeatedly, I'll just fork out money and then complain because I got fucked over again" like fool me once, shame on you.... fool me twice, shame on me.... fool me more than that, then I must be a fucking idiot?

I don't know, that's just my thought on it. I'm glad at least one friend of mine listened to what I had to say prior to 7 and ended up cancelling his order, because he would've been very mad about paying so much for the game and not liking it at all. Which I knew he wouldn't. 

And how about we just take the highroad and everyone stops telling one-another to calm down and talk about the game at hand instead?

To try and get back onto the topic at hand...

Anyway, the "sales" reported for 7 going against the actual financial reports just gives me the impression that there's a bias and things are being incorrectly spread around because the 3 million mark was for units shipped, not confirmed for sales or including a tally of digital sales.

So that makes it effectively redundant data for people to try and tout for the sales period as it's not comprehensive.

I wish the sales data books for video games were still actively being published every financial year as I still have some of the late 90s, early 00s ones and could go and dig it out to compare the older/classic games actual sale data of total units sold & shipped.
