I was wondering if it was possible for someone to make a mod that has Ashley as a playable character and her only weapons were lamps that she can throw (like in the story campaign)? It would be also great if this was possible in Mercenaries mode. Thanks in advance : )

I don't think that it's possible since this game doesn't support anything like that (for player). It does support skin modeling (weapons, playable characters, stage enviroment changes AI reskins and so on.

i think its possible?? but im not that sure.well i was thingking.all you need todo is Replace some items in mercenaries into a Lamp via hex editing.and swap leon into ashley using wilsonso's meele tool.
