From what I played thus far, graphically its really good, and the animation is more fluid for an FPS with simply walking into doors and up ladders without a button prompt.
I sincerely hope the game won't have as many specific sequence endings, I'd prefer a more a Silent Hill approach were it's how you engage/ how frequently engage with something. Got the bad and infected endings thus far, but then I'd use the bolt cutters if I could and get the fuck out of that house. Plus what is the point of multiple endings? since Capcom has already determined a canon with other games ie. RE:Remake
Atmosphere is good, although not sure about the stealth mechanics. I don't feel as fragile or reliant on stealth as say Alien Isolation, which was part of the fun of the snail crawl waddle. But then again this is a heavily scripted demo showcasing everything.
So there's a coin I missed, well guess I better gander at it again.

It seems like Capcom is giving much effort in optimizing the PC version. If it turns out to be good, I will buy it.
Not much fps fan. Thought I would buy Battle Field 1 because everyone was praising it. But I think I will use that money on RE7. I like to get scared and BF1 doesnt deliver that.
(TBH, COD MW 3 gave me severe jump scares when some dude came out of nowhere and smashed me with his weapon- instant death)
Edit: having multiple endings will be really great. really increases the replay value. I am looking forward to multiple endings in fill version.

I've got the coin 3 times. No damage defeated mold multiple times. I think that's enough. Third laughter can bug out, but I can post a route that hasn't failed for me or friends.

This is a fast method of getting the best ending. It only consists of core actions that you should follow closely until you get the 3rd giggle. - Fuse > Book > Finger > Basement Key > Hand (combine with Finger) > Read the blood text (1st giggle) > Point hand at fallen Drawer (1/5) >
- Cutters > VHS > Dead end door in the attic (2nd giggle) > Lockpick in the basement > Point hand at the corpse on hospital bed in the basement (2/5) >
- Valve > Open Door > Kick bag and knock over > Smash door twice w/o stopping > Axe > Slash the picture of a woman with the bag on the head on stairs (3rd giggle) (it takes a couple of minutes to get here, it never failed for me) > Point hand at the barred door in a tiny room below the stairs (3/5) >
- Outside same tiny room there's a mirror, look at it and do a quick turn (X on keyboard) (4th giggle) > Go to attic, point hand at white and blue wires on the ceiling (same room where the exit is) (4/5) >
- Go to basement and grab the attic key (sprint through whole thing and you likely won't get hit) > Watch VHS and try to spot the ghost (common places where the triggers worked for me: entrance hall, turn around when Pete says "Fuck Me" and right at the ending climb down after Pete says "You first" second time. If you were close enough to her then you got it) > Go to basement, find a doll on the ground, crouch and look at her while the shelf doll is behind you (if you don't hear the laugh rinse and repeat VHS playback until you witness the ghost close enough, but try checking the doll after every try, I had luck as fast as 3 tries and as long as 7 tries) (5th giggle) > Point had and the famous cockroach pot (5/5) >
- Enter attic blood door, get your prize > Leave through attic.
You can relax and gather ammo after you got the 3rd giggle. That's when you should use the valve if you want to. You can also pick up the attic key with whatever method you like - be it sprinting or fighting, as long as you don't get hit.

hi guys
i like to know about your opinions about the game by numbers too
i mean -/10 or -/100
for graphic - sounds - gameplay ... or just an average at all
i am sure it can be a good new game but they should change the name
oh maybe this method is better
---------------------------- please give it two number
1- as a new franchise
2- as a Resident Evil
----------------------------
i really wanna know about your opinions because critic websites are just giving one number to games as a game but i think two number for this game is more useful for other Resident Evil fans
(i personally according to knowns, videos and trailers : 7/10 as a new franchise (still no name) and 0/10 as a new version of my memorial favorite Resident Evil)

0/10 as a new franchise
10/10 as a new RE game that rebirths the series in a new direction.
I am very happy to see the death of QTE heavy COD style RE games. As much as I love RE4 it was the beginning of the series decline and adding co-op in RE5 and RE6 has a HUGE mistake imo.

tl;dr 0/10 as a new franchise, 9/10 as a new RE game
long version: I absolutely don't think the game would work if it was an original game, because injecting some trademark RE identity into it helps it NOT be generic and clone-y. If it was a new game people would probably thrash it to hell, but being RE and having the demo available to all has swayed some people. While yeah it takes inspo from some other sources, it's less "blatantly ripping off" and more a tasteful homage. While I like RE5 and 6 I'm still kind of glad that they went this route but only after playing the demo. It looks great and the first person perspective kind of works at the slowburn horror pace.
My only gripes with the demo are that being isolated from the main game (apparently) means I don't think the impression I got is 100% accurate, more like 60%.

Everything in this demo screamed RE1 in FP mode to me.
Hell, how long has it been since we played a RE game that is focused around a residence?

The only RE that was actually focussed on a residence was RE1. (arguably re0's training facility and then there was lost in nightmares).
I personally wasn't much of a fan of when they announced RE7, and this demo doesn't get me on their side either. As much as I love the classic RE's this to me did not feel like those at all...
Now looking at RE7 as a modder... The game (demo) is packed in one gigantic 3+GB .PAK file. which is a file format also used by games made in the Unreal 4 engine. Unfortunately extractor tools from UE4 are not compatible (yet) due to how the file is encrypted (or it's a different version of the file type). I personally wouldn't know how to go about and making those tools work with the game, but I don't think it's going to be that hard. not that it matters that much, as I also don't see that many things that will be worth modding. there's no player characters to mod over anyway. so that leaves stuff like modding over the enemies, and weapons I guess. because I doubt we'll be able to mod the levels (new levels with custom collision)
So to me personally there doesn't seem to be much interesting stuff here for modding, nor does the game interest me that much...
oh well... here's to hoping for a Revelations 3 more along the lines of what we had before and with the established characters

Everything in this demo screamed RE1 in FP mode to me. Hell, how long has it been since we played a RE game that is focused around a residence? Everything? For Real ? RE1? Like .... Take the role of a defenseless guy that was Kidnapped and imprisonade by a comic hill Billy ? Playing inside videotapes? Chasing Ghost girls inside videotapes!!?? Mannequins turning and moving around alone? Giggles coming from nowhere , have to Point a Dummy finger at specific places, waiting for supernatural sounds in order to open a door and solve a puzzle? A blank notebook that autowrite Psychographed messages from the dead? A character that moves like a snail in First person camera? And the list goes.... I´m not saying that the RE7 demo is bad, it´s not, but it has nothing to do with RE1. Or any other RE game that i ever played. I really hope that the final game will be more like a RE than this strange demo.

I think by "RE1" he referred to a more slowburn horror feel in contrast with 2's action horror (Not RE4-6 levels, but there was ammo everywhere) or RE3's being-stalked horror. And, again, it's been stated (I think) that the demo is separate from the main game anyway.
Personally? I welcome the more supernatural feel. Only so much you can do with "viruses"

adding co-op in RE5 and RE6 has a HUGE mistake imo. Only these things and made these games so popular (RE5 exactly) and replayability. If there was no co-op and the game had the same form, it would have been not so much good! Absolutely the right decision for the action component, because these games not have horror.
