I'm willing to give the game a shot despite all my reservations at this point, but I'm going to be going in eyes open and expectations measured just to be safe, it seems like it has some core Resident Evil elements in but there is still the over all feeling of the game and gameplay itself that I feel I will not like as a main Resident Evil entry.

www.gamenguide.com/articles/87716/20161212/resident-evil-7-latest-news-update-run-or-hunt-as-capcom-hid-weapons-inside-the-mansion.htmthey had said before that re7 is a returning to roots! and by roots they meant re1 but i personally never have been running away of any of enemies in re1 except first dogs which that was scripted! one of the most important things that make me a fan was characters which they were not crying kids and also not just two hands! they were (visible) fighters they were real survivors number 2 was cameras which those always were surprising me number 3 was gameplay i never liked resident evil just because being scary and if i was looking for a scary game there was a better option for me silent hill 1 (but i never played that game again) nemesis every time scared me (without a dark stage and scene!) but even for that bully i never select the runaway option so every time i just shot him to shut him! down very fast but RE classics also had a unacceptable and unbelievable thing the doors! which most of them were built of woods and the game forced me to find a key for this woody door to finding another stupidly key to open another woody door! but when re4 came out it was different very different butshinji mikami saved the franchise and put it exactly in a right way as a next level for franchise the game became an awesome game in that awesome next level we had: ----------------------------------------------------- fighting, surviving, managing, saving, feeling, solving, upgrading, searching, finding, selling, buying, earning, loving, killing, shooting, combining, destroying, fishing, running, walking, helping, cooperating, boating, mining, playing, hooking, kicking, haunting, scaring and!!!...
----------------------------------------------------- and also to be able to ignoring most of enemies if you don't wanna fight! ----------------------------------------------------- and with no more searching in middle of a disaster crisis to finding some unacceptable woody doors's keys but now: instead of having something more than before which this is the real mean of going forward we can't even have what we already had! and not even going back to first place! because the only thing that they took from the roots is this one!: " you need a key and you have to find it in that kind of situations! to opening a bird cage! to getting some bullet or..." exactly the mistake one and ruining all of the favorite ones! and i can't understand that why should i do a big mistake like that when i am able to broke it exactly as like as a woody door?! next level for this franchise was: being open world having a fps view (just as an option) and adding some options and stuffs more than what we already had and not taking back the things which we got

Except the keys were a good thing. You got an area to search in, and became familiar with it. Eventually, you found a key, but that key came with the fear-of-the-unknown of "What's behind this door?". It was an effective horror tool, and pretty great at buildings things up. That, and the original RE games were like 1/4 puzzle games, so those keys contribute to that as well. Honestly, I get the feeling you haven't even played the classics.
ANYWAY
I'm giving RE7 a shot too, but that's a principles thing than an actual desire to play. It's tradition for me to play any game I'm cynical about pre-release.

Does upscaling using this make the images blurry or does it make the images Pixelated? Usually when using lower res than Native on LCD monitors, we get a blurry half assed bilinear filtering which makes it look blurred ass. Even if you select a res which is exactly half the native res (Ex: 1280x720 on 2560x1440). If the ingame res scaling still uses bilinear filtering, then its useless. I prefer pixelated sharp images over blurry images when using lower res. Cause the blurry filtering at lower non native res doesnt help removing jaggies. Neither, upscaling makes images sharper and more detailed. Downscaling, which would happen if the resolution scale is <100%, makes the image quality look fucking garbage. You just said completely the opposite thing, you realized that? You didnt understand my question. Okay, let me be more specific: Upscaling means, scaling a lower res to somethin bigger. (Example: Stretching 720x450 to fit 1440x900) Anyway, downscaling Downsampling l, which means scaling a higher res to somethibg smaller. (Example: resizing 2880x1800 to 1440x900). Eitherway, that wasnt my question :v I asked if I upscale, does It use the stupid bilinear filtering to make it blurry or does it upscale usibg nearest neighbour method to give sharp pixelated image. Several kinds of filters are used when scalibg images. Nvidias DSR (Downsampling method) uses 13 tap Gaussian filter. Most of the time, LCD monitors use bicubic filter when upscaling images. No filters are used when doing these upscaling thibgs in window mode (example, making 720x450 window to borderless window at 1440x900). Now before answering my question, you should know what Upscaling with "Nearest Neighbour" method means.

Yeah I misread your question, no need to be rude about it though.
Regardless the resolution scale thing using % generally gives a sharp image, in part because it's still whatever res you set it to, it's just that it's rendered at whatever % you sent. At least, that's what The Division does. Running it at 200% image quality and it's as sharp and as gorgeous as 1080p, just way more detailed and with no aliasing.

So I guess its useful then, for upscaling. Setting -50% will give a 960x540 on 1920x1080 without the blurry filteribg. Clear upscaling is possible using GeDaSaTo on all Dx9 games. No support from driver level yet. Nvidia and Amd dont a damn about it.

Setting -50% will also make the game look fucking garbage. Dishonored 2 with 50% resolution scaling (THE DEFAULT SETTING FOR ME) makes it look like a PS1 game.

More news from Bio France New details about RE7 from Biohazard France Here it is in French and here a summary in portuguese. I can't translate all of it now but, here's some interesting stuff. The demo that some journalists been playing recently takes place in chapter 3 of the game; You can find a newspaper article about the dissappearence of people in the Dulvey area, and it was written by Alyssa Ashcroft from Outbreak; Another file is a document signed by Clive O'Brian from Revelations; Other files mentions strange incidents in a local church and a local hospital, as well as a boat that sunk in a river nearby; There are checkpoints, but it's unknown if they are tied to the difficulty; The Upgrade Cages are located in a trailer outside the house. You find a backpack that increase your inventory size by 4 (to a total of 16 slots); You need to solve a puzzle to acquire the shotgun; You can also use the Chemical Fluid to repair items and photos (maps?) of hidden treasure; The lockpicks can be used to open lockers and drawers for extra ammo and health items. There's more stuff we already knew, but this is are the most interesting. EDIT: Fixed Alyssa's surname. She's not related to Alexia and Alfred. lol (original post over here in Reddit) and from what i heard This is how Alyssa will look in game xD

Two characters have already been mentioned, and the game has not been released yet. THIS IS GOOD.

I am currently playing all games at 2880x1800 downsampled to my 1440x900 using DSR 33% to avoid jaggies. I actually play old games at 11520x7200 or 5750x3600 in demanding old games like RE6. Back on topic, A 3rd person cam mod wont be even useful I guess. Cause theres nothin left except hands, right?
