Has anyone been able to find all the mysteries of the RE7 demo? I've heard that no one's been able to figure out that to do with the dummy finger, and that there are different phone calls depending on what you do. Im starting to think that they are hiding a secret just like P.T. did. Apparently leaving the house or answering the phone gets you killed so I am assuming there's more to it than we think

The fact they spent money on developing a stand alone demo... What are they even doing? My God. I can't wrap my head around people actually liking this demo. I can't. This is not Resident Evil, and CAPCOM cannot convince me that they are these badass "risk takers" because the moment they lose money they toss everything out of the window and start over. That is not considered risk taking in my book, more like giving up and taking no responsibility of their brand.
I hope this game fails bad, I really do but as long as there's the casual indie crowd CAPCOM will get their money.

That is not considered risk taking in my book, more like giving up and taking no responsibility of their brand. I hope this game fails bad, I really do but as long as there's the casual indie crowd CAPCOM will get their money. It's a nasty vicious cycle. So many newcomers to the franchise who don't even stinking bother to research what the franchise WAS are gonna love this game and yet hate everything that came before it. Or heck, all the naysayers of the old Resident Evil and whatnot whom constantly complain "You control like a tank!" Well guess what? IN FPS shooters you are the equivalent of a tank. Since tanks can aim in one direction and move in another, and that's basically what you do in FPS games. But I digress...the indie scene while it has it's benefits has been doing nothing but harm the gaming industry. And I think Resident Evil 7 is a prime example of this instance. I'm willing to bet one particular youtuber I hate with a passion is gonna harp on the fans of the old Resident Evil (Or any franchise that's been around for awhile since the 90s.) and yet praise the ever loving trash outta this game because he's that kind of sadistic jerk. Won't name names but yeah, idiots and jerks will be idiots and jerks. Only real way we're gonna get a "new" Resident Evil we'd enjoy is to have some of us work on a fangame project. Some very talented programmers have shown their faces here so it's not impossible. I'm more of a writer and planner but I honestly wish I could draw worth a darn, or program or rig stuff. I help formulate the vision, work it out, help others visualize and bring it to life. Being attempting to work on some original works but I've been kicking around a concept or a retro Resident Evil game that'd be LOADS better than whatever this is. But I've been having trouble ironing it out.

Honestly,I'm battling out my feelings for this game,Because up until tonight,I've been excited since i found out it was announced at E3 that same night. I was watching it live and all,but then I got caught up in doing other things, So when i got back, searched up games in their whole series-wide form, for RE as an example,I searched up Resident Evil, and discovered i missed out on it's big E3 Announcement and all. I was just so hyped and happy, but after reading through the thread up until this very moment, I'm currently thinking: "Am i lying to myself & my own feelings?"
I can't tell if i'm just seeing this as another game, despite the name, brand and logo and all,Or if i'm truly seeing it for Resident Evil. Or if i just have such a serious desire for Resident Evil, that anything is going to make me happy. But after reading everyone's opinions and analysis on this,I Don't know anymore. Resident Evil was supposed to be possibly my #1 favorite game series.
I never really got the old Resident Evil games. I never played them. I began at RE4. But since that alone,I was curious about other Resident Evil's,Discovered alot,But never got to the old Resident Evil games. I really want to come to love Resident Evil 7.
I at some point ended up being hyped for Resident Evil 6 when it was announced. And even after it's release, and obviousness of Action,Removing the Survival Horror in what can almost be called completely. I got bored of it for a long time, but since the PS4 Re-release,I've some reason been enjoying RE6 lately.
I feel like I'm going through the same thing again, except stronger, and more painfully due to what it is,and what people have been saying. I may say all of this tonight, but trust me,what I'm going through, I'll probably wake up in the morning, come across Resident Evil 7 on Youtube again, and get all hyped and excited to watch it,until i end up seeing comments like said in this thread. I just don't know how to sort out my feelings for this, and even though i love resident evil with ALL of my heart, after having my eyes partially opened tonight,i don't know what to say anymore. My heart honestly just hurts. If anyone feels like they can spare some enlightenment regarding the matter, please help.
PS. Sorry for all my paragraphs beginning with I by the way. XD

Well, if the demo does not represent the final game, then maybe there still is a bit hope. Because the demo just doesn't feel like anything Resident Evil related at all... it's just blah. I wonder if we get the demo on steam at some point for some data mining. oo
But all this doesn’t change the fact: first person. That is what i (and a lot of other people) dislike the most. I mean there still is time till January, if they care about the feedback they still could make a third person view. But yeah we talk about Capcom here... Maybe it's something modder could fix, but who knows if the games is then playable at all. Reminds me, in Code Veronica the Battle mode hat the option to play third or first person... come on an option can't be that hard...
Also the first-person view takes away the sense of nice costumes. Resident Evil was always about cool costumes to unlock, except RE6... but okay at least there was some in Mercenaries.
Some bonus games like Mercenaries are also pretty hard to imagine right now... Maybe something like the one from Resident Evil 3? But i don't see much replay value if it is solo. I wonder how all this will turn out...

On a 2nd thought
Maybe it is going to be RE title after all , just in first person
Its just a new cast of characters and completely new perspective on gameplay for reveal instead of seeing familiar faces is making us go "what the fuck"
Maybe as Capcom starts sharing more info on cast and plot as well show stuff that we are going to see in the final game It might make us think "woah it is RE after all"
There definitely is combat
People have been finding out options to turn on aiming reticle , aim assist and option to turn on ammo counter for remaining ammunition

Just gonna be somewhat honest, the comments on this thread are not constructive at all, they are just plain bashing/flaming as you can call it.
Capcom has stated this is a TEASER and not the actual game itself, the game will be way different

The fact they spent money on developing a stand alone demo... What are they even doing? They are trying to rip-off the whole P.T. phenomena, plain and simple. Or heck, all the naysayers of the old Resident Evil and whatnot whom constantly complain "You control like a tank!" Well guess what? IN FPS shooters you are the equivalent of a tank. Since tanks can aim in one direction and move in another, and that's basically what you do in FPS games. To be fair, that's not quite the truth. Tanks can't strafe.

Ohm, so the E3 demo is not the RE7 game, that's great. Then I could expect that: - there won't be slow pacing but there will be exciting and moving scenes, - there will return popular characters, - the game will have a 3rd person perspective, - it will bring a funny combat system, - it will increase and add exploration zones of variated styles, - it will bring good cooperative and PvP and promotions for the multiplayer community, - they will improve the Mercenaries mode - and the game will have a long life after the release, with DLC expansions of new stories, characters, costumes and areas.

Practically none of that. According to Q&A it's still going to be first person, completely new cast, isolation in a building and surrounding areas, single player experience with possibly no mercenaries because it's not 3rd person anymore. See posts above. The teaser gives a taste and is a prologue, however that specific location, settings and characters doesn't seem to be main focus of the game.

I swore on god, jesus, AND my life i wouldn't intentionally bring someone down, and I'm not trying to do it here, but to tell you the truth, here's what's honestly most not gonna happen from that list. Green = Sure Orange = Okay, the chance is still there,It could happen.Red = Don't truly expect it. So there's that. Either way,i'm going to see that Full Game through. And hope to get PSVR Somehow... Christmas if i will...
