"Mods" is a vague term, though. It can be anything from texture swaps, to model swaps, to damn near total overhauls.
Sadly most developers are walking away from mod support.

why so negative? :c can we see the positive way?? Its like the classics games (not automatic saves, no a lot of ammo..., Keys like the spencer mansion  ) Annnnnd, there are not action like re5 or re6 -_- (but these are good games) you play ALONE (with any partner like re5 o re6) (sorry for my bad english xd)

BUUUUUT the MOST IMPORTANT THING is....we can have mods in this game? :3 it's not really the question whether or not the game will have mods, the question is: "How moddable is the game?" and the second question is "Will modders give enough of a shit about this game to invest their time to try and mod it?" (which kinda all depends on question 1.... moddability (and whether or not the modders like the game enough to mod it....)) We're dealing with a whole new engine here. so file structures, folder structures, and potential container files will be whole new territory, whereas previously in MTF based games the structure was overal very similar with slight changes to file formats. this can be all new...

For me I prefer a game that is so good that I will be replaying after I clear the game, scary moments are scary just the 1st time you play that game, so I hope RE7 has a amazing gameplay coz that is the most important thing in a game for me. btw: The atmosphere is looking pretty amazing, and that is a must have for a survival horror game too. My list of best Survival Horror with the best replay factor: 1st) The Evil Within (best survivor horror IMO) 2nd) Resident Evil 4 (even today it's awesome) 3rd) Resident Evil 2 (when I play this I can't just play one or two scenario so I do the, LeonA, ClaireA and LeonB ^_^ ) 4th) Resident Evil Remake (amazing game I always come back to play it) So I hope RE7 can enter in my list at least on 5th  btw2: What are your thoughts about The Evil Within? hi my dear Fullbuster23replay value is very important for me too i can't accept this game as a resident evil but i wish it going to become an enjoyable game for youand about your question: honestly i didn't play The Evil Within but i like it one of my friends had it and we played it a little together but there was a cinematic black lines on screen which somehow it was annoying but i'm waiting for a modding tool for it and then i'm gonna going to play it i like the characters and the game but i like to see leon and claire within! too

About the black bars on The Evil Within, they released a update for PC, PS4 and XOne that added a option to enable or disable the black bars. If you are on PC you can use flawlesswidescreen that has options to mod FOV, black bars, aspect ratio, etc. One thing I love from evil within is the dificult, I play it always on Nightmare mode, coz akumu is too hard (i don't like that cheat of one hit kill ^^) and casual is too easy. RE4 is awesome but it dificult (profissional) is far from the dificult we have on TEW. Now about RE7, would you accept it if they add the 3rd person camera only?
