I don't know if this possible but I have a little faith that Capcom will make RE8 it maybe 2018 or 2019 and that only if they didn't end the RE franchise or they will continue do in it just like what they did with RE7 I don't think it's so early, the franchise has long way to go yet...a lot of story to tell !From the way that RE7 going for it's almost like impossible

^ This, not to mention the RE live-action movie pie, hence RE6 was littered with explosions/monsters/shoot outs to interrupt any actual character development. ( not that there was gonna be much anyway)
¿Really? Helena Harper was a woman with a secret, she didn't trust in Leon (and how could she do it?, The Security advisor abducted her sister, her partners from the secrete service, don't believe her leading to the death of the President plus her back stories, support her working alone) Over her lack of trust, there is also the huge guilty feeling, for how all the Tallk Oaks catastrophe and her sister's fate. However, at the end of the game, Helena learns to trust in Leon, specially after watching how he supported her in he "illegal" vendetta toward Simmons, and her guilty feeling, got transformed in resignation and finally in acceptance. Some players though that Leon's campaign was actually Helena's adventure, certainly they have some reasons. Chris Redfield, the legend of the BSAA, started the story lost, (in both, figurative and literally way) through the game it's discovered how he was being a successful captain creating strong bonds with his platoon, after failed them, the man fell in a deep depression that turned into rage, till he accepts being the person that is expected him to be. That transformation was not easy, and even though, Chris really didn't want to go on with it, that's why he wanted give the baton to Piers, but the circumstances forced him to keep going on that way, wether he wants it or not. Piers Nivans, was that kind of golden boy, but even though, he also had his defects, sometimes he become impulsive and let himself being drag by his feelings, during the absence his captain Chris, Piers was promoted as captain, but he still didn't see himself prepared to replace the "Legend of the BSAA", after reencounter with his former captain, Piers showed himself more wise and responsible, but even yet, he was not still ready to take the Chris's baton. Pier's evolution arch toward a BSAA captain, got interrupted by the sacrifice turning it into a failed arch (Piers never ends to be ready for being captain); that's another writing technique (but I have to decide if it was to make the character more tragic, or if it was to make Capcom more SonOf....). Jake Muller, was a mercenary who only cared himself (and the money that provide him a better life). But after know the secret of Sherry Birkin, (and the good influence of that blondie), Jake went changing his view of the world, and at the end, he decided become more altruistic, what makes him follow a different path than his father. (And well, there is a credit song talking exclusively about this change) Sherry Birkin always had a strong will and do what she thinks is the best, unfortunately for her, the RE world is more darker, and in her both appearances, her paternal figures resulted to be any kind of homicidal monsters. In RE6 Sherry shows herself as a responsible but novice agent, and also some naive. That innocence took its consecuencies when she finds out that all her mission was not as noble as she idealized, but at the end, she archives her goal and at the end with Jake's change, Sherry reconforts herself understanding how she really can help people (as she wanted to do, following the example of her friends, Leon and Claire). RE6 may not have the isolation and slow story that some fans wanted, but emotionering is highly imprented on it, what consecuently goes with quite characters developments.

RE6 may not have the isolation and slow story that some fans wanted, but emotionering is highly imprented on it, what consecuently goes with quite characters developments. I agree with this alot, thanks for replying. I was very loose with my comment. I was more so referring to Capcom's ideology of "Let's do this because it sells" RE6 has significantly more character development than it's predecessors RE4 or RE5. However that said there some things lacking with RE6 despite it's character arcs and storyline(s). It is far easier for us fans to inject depth and themes into a game, than the writers themselves. Even then it comes down to interpretation from fan to fan. The emotional development as Jake and Sherry's campaign was the strongest, whilst Ada and Leon's only took focus about a 1/3 of the way in Helena's story. I disagree that she had trust issues as it was more so she wanted to get to Deborah first hand. Her sister came first till Deborah died. Morally, she still maintained that she should be held responsible for what she did. Basically it was Leon and Ingrid who gave her the all clear. Her guilt more so turned into vengeance over sister, and Leon was more so being the idealistic hero, in aiding her in her cause. Helena parallels Chris in many ways in that they are single minded, prioritize they're loved ones and will seek vengeance if pushed far enough. Leon did not changed much throughout RE6. Sure he's admitted he loves Ada, but that's it and even then that was kinda of hinted at in RE2 and more seemed for fan service than any development. RE5 did not have Jill and Chris doing anything to express their relationship as I recall. Ada's own character development is somewhat unchanged, other than the emotional shootout with destroying Carla's lab but then that is debatable among fans of the character. Some see her as more stoic and consequently would be unphased by Carla's own cruelty. She dealt with colder more apathetic clients no doubt. Jake changed the most in terms of his outlook and cause. I agree with you there. However I feel everyone else in RE6, took a bumpy ride, and then pretty much remained the same in terms of outlook with an exception with regards to Chris. Sherry, Ada, Helena, Piers and Leon pretty much retained their attitudes and therefore are not as dynamic as Jake. They learn or admit some things but otherwise retain their values so they don't develop a whole lot. Chris's own character arc reflects the realities of PTSD and being a soldier. Many fans of Chris did not like his sudden change from RE5 to RE6, and some feel such an arc should've been more fleshed out in RE5 over Jill's apparent death. Whether or not this is the case off-screen cannot be verified. Regardless, it makes the character more real and demonstrates that Capcom is more character driven. However I disagree with you in that Chris's depression was more so rooted in failing his platoon. I believe it is more Survivor's guilt and denial is the coping mechanism. Piers verifies/rubs it in by confronting Chris about how he should remember them. If Chris felt responsible for their deaths he would of sooner resigned from the BSAA and got therapy and counseling, than hunted for Ada's (Carla's) blood. It's more so he is responsible to fulfill his duty which I agree with you on. His arc goes from denial and not coping with circumstances, to seeking revenge, to carrying the torch simply because everyone else dies. Sure he owes it to Piers, but really the message he gets is "survive continue his duty" But he still has his survivor's guilt which is further unresolved with Pier's death. So thus far we could have a slow burning tragedy of a soldier whose starting to see too many casualties and is being held up on too high of a pedestal. Chris could become more broken and withdrawn in later sequels potentially. My theory is the BSAA is a shitty organization because its lacking some serious mental health resources. Piers could comeback and be a tragic character even more so, however we have yet to see what Capcom will do with Piers. In Resident Evil: The Marhawa Desire, it is hinted at depending on translations that Piers was in a relationship with Merah Biji, who died. So that's an un-played element in RE6, mostly because Resident Evil: The Marhawa Desire came out after the RE6. So there can become an inconsistency of character arcs which has been pointed out extensively with characters such as Albert Wesker in RE5. That said I think some elements in RE6 still seemed force for the sake of having them. Piers death is an example of this as it was initially Chris who was supposed to die, however the writers felt it was too forced and killed Piers instead, (still forced in my opinion.) RE6 could've potentially screwed up Ada's character with making every incarnation of her into a different clone. (That was a real out to lunch idea on the director's part) Now the Carla & Simmons plot, in my view is somewhat flawed. it's intentions are clear enough but it was only really one cut scene that verified who Carla was, other than that it's explained in the extra files rather than implemented into Ada's campaign which is lazy writing in my opinion. Another thing that could be argued is that RE5 & RE6 are both questioning the "War on Terror" with the metaphor of bio terrorism to an extent, however I believe that is looking too deeply into a piece of black construction paper. I however see it that Capcom took too much inspiration from the films. RE6 suffers from plot holes that hamper it, and the excessive action in cut-scenes could've been better suited for dialog that would make characterization more apparent. Basically the depth of anything is debatable.

I admire the ambitious goals, but yep, I would have liked if RE6 could've been even better, cinematics are cool, but videogames are not movies, so I also expect their gameplay were more complete than a lineal walkthrough. Well, maybe they manage to solve it in the future, or maybe they won't... O.ò Watching that RE7 has a team of 120 people, I wonder if between the others 1380 would be any group making any more ambitious RE game.

Capcom announced that the production of Resident Evil 7 is in its final stages: 90% of the game is now complete. The final details of Resident Evil 7 production should be focused on adjustments to support PlayStation VR.
According to statements by Masachika Kawata interviews, the decision to include virtual reality in the game delayed a little under development, but the company was focused on improving the experience with the use of Sony headset.
He says he played a new demo,ie the new update of the demo "beginning hour" ?!

The explosions and action cutscene and action gameplay of RE6 was just fine.
The only problem was "The Game is Linear". No back tracking, no nothing. Just go forward and don't even look back.
Dead Space is much better in this regard. Action survival game that gets into your nerves, discourages you to explore because you don't know what will jump at you (Yet you can't stop yourself from exploring because its fun). You get a feel of real threat from your enemies and want to avoid them despite havibg enough ammo to finish them off, because its too much scary for mano a mano.

RE6 (and 5) is not even in the same league as Dead Space (1).

"I hate you slightly less" is character development, but not really good character development either.
Also like Clarke said, please stop posting insta-download links. My fleeting connection got disrupted and now TES:O is gonna take a year to download.

Agree, that putting insta-dl links is a bit annoying, but what he said above, they can make whatever they want, but they should chose the correct name for the "thing" they're making.
